Providers Rating Hobbiest on the Internet?

Someone mentioned this in a post I was reading. Anyone know if it's true?

I think this is a pretty horrible idea for anyone hoping to remain anonymous. Using someones phone number or email online could definitely screw up people's lives. If this was happening I would definitely change my number and leave the hobby.

Maybe perb should become more like Humaniplex in California, where everyone is rated for safety, but only by their anonymous handle? Of course, all ads are also on the same site. It's really a pretty good system, that evolved to eliminate drama, robs, and every other negative thing you might come across. Basically any bad provider or bad hobbiest is very quickly shunned by the community.

what's to stop a 'shunned' sp or pooner just creating a new (or multiple) handles?

It does happen but not too often. I think they require a credit card for new people. I never had to give one though because when they started the site from the old site "Troothsayerz" they grandfathered in everyone who already had a handle.

But basically you can create a new handle, but if you continue the same behavior you quickly (within a day or two) get a negative rating so it's pretty futile. If you're a guy, every girl you see rates you safe or not safe, so if you're new it can be hard to see the popular girls. So for guys there is a lot incentive to build up a high safety rating. Making a new profile erases that.

Also for the girls, once they get a good safety rating it's good for business too. A girl with no ratings could be law enforcement, so most guys won't take a chance on the newer girls, until a few brave hobbiest go in and rate them as safe. I'll also say, not only was it super rare that girls would create a new profile, but fake picks is pretty much unheard of on that site. Again, no one wants a bad rating for dishonesty either!

Where are these private lounges? How can we know if we're in them? How public are they? What kind of info is in them? Email? Phone numbers? Not everyone is going to be as discreet as Miss Melody? And of course we just have to take your word for it?

No gossip ever? That seems very hard to believe.

The difference is that providers are using special emails and are not using their personal phone numbers. Many hobbiest trusting ladies to not share their info online. In my opinion this is a total betrayal of trust! This is should be a major concern for all the guys out there! I guess we all need a second cellphone and a special email if we want to be anonymous. Not to mention the new law makes all this illegal -- for the hobbiest!

Had a quick look at Humaniplex.com. not much time right now to check it out in detail. Didn't see anything about a credit card, just the standard "handle" "email" fields. Seems like it's mainly in the States. Being able to go back and set up a new account after being "shunned" doesn't provide much security for either party involved. Looks like another social media site. For now, this topic feels more like an ad for Humaniplex, but I'll check it out in more detail later and pass on my input.

It's only an ad for Humaniplex in the sense that I would like Perb to become like Humaniplex. As someone who used it for years it's a much much better system for everyone involved. Much safer and more anonymous. Also since this is much more illegal in the states it's also a good model for avoiding law enforcement. The site is basically cleaned of all references to illegal activity, so law enforcement totally ignores it and focuses on Backpage where all the worst stuff goes down anyway. Most of the action happens using the PMing system, where hobbiest and providers can talk in private. Like if I want to see a girl I almost always directly ask a guy who has rated her about his experience. He can then give me as much or as little info as he wants, but everything is happening in a private conversation that is auto deleted after 7 days. I highly recommend the people running perb check out how it works and port the feature over here where there are plenty of BC hobbiest who would benefit.

I've seen hundreds of ladies and don't believe I've ever had any issues, so no I don't think I'm a bad client. The problem is I'm supposed to just trust that my personal info is being treated properly and I have no way to verify whether it is or not. If a guy rates a provider poorly she knows exactly what is being said. Apparently I'm to be left completely in the dark? I think anyone who has done this for a long time knows that some of these providers are looney tunes! Say the wrong thing and my personal info is in a database? Walk out on a girl after I find out she is 50 and not 23 like she says and now my personal info is in some database? No way to say my side of the story. This is insane!

As a user, I think that I prefer Perb's approach.

I can say I never once gave humaniplex my credit card or any money... but like I said, I was grandfathered in. I don't know exactly how the money works. Also I'm not saying anyone should go to Humaniplex. There is no user base for BC so there is no point for people in BC to use Humaniplex! I'd like to see Perb copy a lot of their better features though. That is all I'm saying. As someone who has used both systems i greatly prefer the system in California, which I found to give me much better info and much more safety overall.

Also, since the girls on here are saying their "forums" about us are critical for their safety, I'm saying their in another way that is better for everyone... hard as that might be to believe without experiencing it for yourself.

The FX point thing (which is the bulk of your post) is totally optional -- for guys at least. I think girls might have to use FX points to post ads? Guys can give girls FX points too. So often you would see girls asking guys if anyone could have some of theirs

Well, if my personal information is potentially being compromised I'd say the system is not working that well. Do I like Perb. Of course. I get lots of good info on here. But I've seen systems that I think are better. Is there something wrong with that? If you've only experienced one system, maybe you stop seeing how things could be improved. Humaniplex used to be a site called Troothsayerz that had a lot in common with Perb, but it evolved into something a bit better for everyone. I'd like to see that happen here.

P411 is cool and it actually has a lot of the same tools it sounds like. Problem is they are charging crazy money and I'd rather give the money to some lady I like.

So you have a personal emergency, an accident, your cell phone dies on the way to the provider and you forgot your car charger, you get lost, or any other of many valid reasons for missing an appointment and suddenly all your personal information is in some database of perverts that you have no control over and don't even knows exists.

Maybe your coworker finds out? Maybe your GF or wife?

I rest my case. Guys, get a separate phone and email for the hobby.

BTW, I've never missed an appointment without texting myself, but there have been times where my phone was almost dead and it could have easily happened.

I'd rather have a transparent system that preserves my privacy, that everyone knows what is going on, and where I can know if I've been accused of something (and say my side of the story even?).

Again, there are models that accomplish this, while still providing more safety for everyone involved. I know that is beyond the comprehension of people like travellor but it's actually true! I wonder if travellor has ever left BC? Or does she just shoot everything down as being stupid because it's not what she's used to?
