Change 'em. The day of pimps is winding down, although not rapidly enough for civilized western society. The internet killed much of the abusive pimp infrastructure, and took the trade in-doors where it belongs. It is a wonderful day now where an independent lady can choose to be in the biz or not, and be her own boss. Now in the BDSM section, that word Boss really means something! Kink has always been on the fringe of the "P" trade, and there have been some busts over the years most notably in Ontario. But it would be hard to imaging a domme as victim scenario as a major problem in Canada. She's the boss after all. There was a great quote by the domme that got busted in Ontario....."you can take the domme out of the dungeon, but you can't take the dungeon out of the domme". I liked that one--it echos the futility of Law Enforcement for BDSM. Which brings up the connection with the P-Law strikedown: dommes need a dungeon. Oh sure you can have the travelling goodie bag, but mainstreamers know a few bulky implements are needed for the adventurous kinster. So to bust a domme as a bawdy house operator is silly. There is no societal harm here, even if she offers FS. Unfortunately LE has used the antiquated bawdy house definition to bully dommes and subs alike, outside of useful intent of the law. The bodyrub parlours will hang around because, let's face it, there is an element of convenience for clients and protection for providers from street urchins. But of course they become a target for over zelous LE agents that think they are doing some good by shutting them down and forcing the ladies out on the street. I will vote for the party that gets hard on street cleanup and soft on indoor proclivities between consenting adults. Dommes rule--we should make life easier for them and their clients.
My 2 cents.
