Pros vs amateurs ... or perhaps a part-timer?

Hey folks,

I was just sitting here in one of my ever-horny states debating whether or not to pry open the wallet and start hunting for an SP, or whether to continue my hunt for an amateur sex-mate. That got me thinking ... which is really the better deal?

SP - you know what you're getting (if you do your research), you're guaranteed to get your rocks off,there is no misconceptions, but the out of pocket cost is a big hit and the fact that she is only in it for the money takes away some of the joy.

Amateur - You get the thrill of the chase and if you hit the home run, it's because she actually wants to f#ck you, which is way more fun. BUT - there are no guarantees, you could waste alot of time and still end up doing the five-finger shuffle, and all the wining and dining could cost you some $$ anyway.

So I was thinking about a compromise - that part-time SP that enjoys herself AND makes a little cash. I figure they must be out there somewhere, but I don't know where to look. I hear the chatlines are generally a waste of dough - although some famous SP's got their start there I hear (Meaghan, Teri). Which one is the best I wonder? Anybody ever have any luck this way?

Anybody have any suggestions / thoughts? This is probably an old topic, but I don't post that often so who knows.

VCM your kinda bluring the line. Let me keep it black and white. There are two kinds of sex. The kind your directly pay for and the kind you don't.

The kind you don't: Dinner, movie, bar, etc... back to her place for drinks. You may have paid for the food, drinks, movie, etc....but thats where you dough output ends.

The kind you do: You make an appointment kinda like a doctor, dentist, etc.... You get over there and she will probably say something like "shall we take care of business first" within the first few minutes of you being there.

I am a "computer guy". I love computers, and I love working on them. If my full time job is computers, I guess that makes me a "professional". But maybe people don't want my help with their computers because "I'm only in it for the money."

On the otherhand, maybe my fulltime job IS NOT computers. This would make me an amateur, right? Maybe people really enjoy the passion they see in me when I work on their computer, but are doubtfull of my abilities because I'm just an amatuer.

Of course, maybe I moonlight as a computer consultant, which would make me a "semi-pro". So maybe people would want my services because I offer a discount compared to a full fledged consultant company, or maybe they just like to deal with "the small guy."

And yet another option is that I love computers, but am no way employed in the industry. From time to time, I'll help a friend out because I know more than they do.

Does Professional / Amatuer / Part time / just for fun status change the quality of my work? Nope. Does one or the other guarentee better response time? Yes, actually. If I'm paid, on a full time basis to respond to emergencies, I have way more ability to deal with things ASAP than if I am employed durring the day by someone else, as I can't just drop my job to deal with the emergency.

NONE of these scenarios deals at all with enjoying what I do. What person would go to their boss and say "You know what, I feel so rewarded by my job this week that I'll turn down my pay."

Okay, now that you're finished laughing at the thought.... WHAT GAL SHOULD?

From the sounds of things, vancitymike is someone who enjoys the hunt as much or more than the actual activity. If that's the case, start cruising looking for the new "street gem". You never know. (Check out Sanity Clause's story "all night for $100")

Well that strikes me as a challenge.

It is almost like saying that if we like what we do then we should give it away for free or for cheap.

The girls who do not like what they do will move onto to other things rather than being an SP.

If you you want an experience that provides more than a wham bamm thank you ma'am experience that leaves your wallet empty and you left unfilled, take the time to read the reviews. There are many women who clearly love what they do and will fulfill you in more than just the physical sense.

But please keep in mind that we are proffessional companions. This is an area that many of us take pride in specializing in. I don't see much room for comprimise in this matter. Either you see a proffessional or you take your chances with the civilian population. If you finances are an issue, there is a VERY broad ranges of prices. If you are unsatisfied with the selection of SP's in your price range. Then I suggest you save your money for an SP that provides an experience you are looking for.

Now this an issue that is a point of contention with me. I am a pretty generous girl in many ways. This has not gone unnoticed. I am often approached with people demanding either cheaper rates or extra time or whatnot. Then have been challenged that I must only be in it for the money. That kind of challenge makes me feel that my skills, services and my general personality are being undervalued and that my generosity is being taken advantage of.

Agreed. I work as a professional and expect to be paid for my work. An acronym -TEA- spells it out clearly.

Experience
Ability

Those three factors blend into a determination of hourly rate and satisfaction we receive. Should we expect anything less from the providers we see?
