Just wanted to throw out kudos to the mods here, who, despite often having a lot of heated discussions to moderate, do their jobs in an objective and fair-minded manner.
I am also a member of "another board" that is a bit more active in my local area, and the moderation there is a joke; there are little cliques, and many people are treated "more equally" than others. The mods insert themselves into the discussions constantly and not always in a gentlemanly way.
A buddy of mine there disagreed in a discussion thread where a mod was basically trolling and demeaning anybody who disagreed with him; something he regularly does, regardless of the discussion.
Later, my friend inserts a mild joke into another, completely unrelated thread, and the mod in question throws a hissy fit and bans the guy for a week. Complete bullshit.
I even dropped the mod a PM asking him to reconsider, and he basically told me to fuck off. Nice.
So to those who think you're hard done by here - be glad the mods here are not on the threads here constantly, instigating fights and then abusing their power.
To BCmod, Moderator-1 and Mod-2 - props to you fellas for (1) leaving yourselves out of the conversations and (2) moderating in an unbiased way. :thumb:
