I see a lot of people here using profile posts for private questions / conversations.

PSA - Profile posts are NOT private, and they are featured in the homepage for everyone to see.

Use the private message feature instead..

I know. I’ve had people asking me questions on my profile posts. I ended up deleting them instead of answering their questions.

Let me make an analogy, for those that might not understand.
most people probably have used Facebook or some sort of social media account.
If you post on your account (aka account profile) It’s public. Unless you PM (private message) the person directly, then it’s only between the two users ( or whomever is part of that private message)

OK, after poking around I see where I could make a profile post. I can't think of any good reason to do it though.

And now I know where that annoying bar of drivel down the right-hand side of the screen comes from.
