Hello Bijou:
Wonderful documentary. I couldn't agree more. It is so important that people include methods of organization and cooperation which do not rely on hierarchical power based, which are for the most part designed to abuse some segment of people, systems. I must watch this video again when I get home.
We are so nearsighted when it comes to considering other models of communication and living. Indoctrinated into our intensely hierarchical modern societies. Information like this is invaluable. Because very often the greatest achievements of the human race have come about from consensus building and in nonviolent communication. One very practical example that many people do not know about in the computer world is Linux which is an alternate operating system to the proprietary Windows and Mac empires. It has been evolving for many years strictly on a cooperative basis and it's completely free. As a matter of fact I watch the entire documentary on a computer running Linux because I was unfamiliar with the web site and Linux is extremely virus resistant. Hollywood also uses Linux in many of its blockbuster movies "avatar" is the best known when, because you are allowed to modify the system as you see fit and all the code is freely available. No secrets here. So programmers working for the movie industry can design and cooperate without running into copyright problems.
Apologies, I must run out the door very soon. [Actually in my case it's roll out the door with the scooter.] And this is being dictated very quickly with the voice dictation software on my old computer so it may have more than its share of typos. But I just wanted to respond to your marvelous post.
