Price Increases at Massage Studios

Well we were having this discussion in Edmonton. It appears some ladies have formed "a cartel" so to speak and prices are on the upturn. Of course it is their right to charge whatever they want and it is ONLY fair that they feel they are getting compensated fairly. But just to initiate conversation... how much more would you pay???

We are going to say the base price is 2 browns.... and go from there for this survey.

Okay lets say 2 browns includes the room. Standard FS, no greek etc.. That is standard at some places still and was the standard for quite a while.

A "cartel" huh. Well, I think hobbyists should keep themselves informed and know who is good out there. Pay the extra if you want to (I won't) for only those who are exceptional. Keep the prices in check by learning how to negotiate, don't let the POP inflation index get out of hand. My .02

I think 2 browns usually includes room fee for a 1/2 hour session, thats been my experience

i've always had 2 browns for an hour including room fee

I don't mind paying more for a session if it is great. However, I find that the more I pay, the less willing I am to write off a bad session as "maybe she was just having a bad day." I think this is true in other industries as well. With movies up to what, $14.50 now, the blockbusters still get all the business, but the smaller movies suffer. With hockey (when it was on and when Oilers fans didn't feel like they were being held hostage if they didn't buy tickets), the Colorado/Detroit games were sold out but no one showed up for the Nashvilles and Anaheims.

I think we saw this with Fantasy. When they increased their prices, guys didn't mind paying more because the service was still top-notch. However, the customer loyalty was eroded and as soon as Fantasy slipped a bit, that was all the reason most guys needed to stop going.

If this cartel holds (and I'm guessing it will), I think what will happen is that the busier girls will get busier and less busy girls will suffer, because guys are not as willing to take a chance with their money.
