Premier Clarke Third Most Popular in Canada

Apparently British Columbians are pretty content with Premier Christy Clark. Clark is third most popular in the country according to an Angus Reis Poll released Wednesday. 42% of the respondents approve of the Premiere , according to an online survey of 6,580 adults in early DEcember. While 51% disapprove of her performance, she's still less hated than the majority of premiers. Prior to he May 2012 election win, Clark had dismal ratings and was tied for the least liked Premier in Canada. But her popularity surged after her win majority mandate. SHe has since travelled to China, shuffled the cabinet touted investment in the liquified gas industry and consulted on liquor law reform.

The actual numbers are on page 2. Brad Wall 66% Approval 27% Disapproval, Stephen McNeil 57% Approval 28% Disapproval, Christy Clark 42% Approval 51% Disapproval. The Metro reporter obviously "recycled" the "tweeked" press release from Christy's office. Only a publicist would turn 51% of people thinking you are doing a bad job into "Third best Premier".

You do know that the Premiers Office is the largest employer of journalists (PR spin people) in the province, and a good portion of the news are their press releases marginally altered or rehashed. So, of course they have put this spin on it and made her out to be one step away from being a goddess.
