your mom says hi.
i would take a chance on Giguere if the price was a just a bit lower. at least he's got one playoff run under him. cloutier and the playoffs seem not to mix. i think maybe teams keep trading anson cause he's good enough to be wanted by other teams yet not quite a superstar, he's kinda like that guy that is added to make the trade a good value. he played very well for canada that one year though and he was really good with the oilers. i think after the oilers he had some injuries and a bit of bad luck. i for one am happy to have him here in vancouver.

Edmonton
Anson Carter

As someone who saw a few seasons of Anson Carter in Edmonton, I think he's a good pickup for the Canucks. He's got a decent one-timer, not really a gritty player but not weak either, smooth skater, and you gotta love the dreadlocks.

Edmonton only got rid of him because of a contract dump, as the market insanely dictated that he was a $4 million dollar player.

That being said, the biggest knock against him is that he disappeared in the playoffs. He should be fine as a second-line player, where he's not the go-to guy.

Anson was doomed from the get go being with the Rangers. I like him he here i think he'll fit in.
