Hi Fellow Pooners,

I have been on this board for a while and really thought there are some interesting people here.
Most of these people I probably will never meet in real life, due to my profession, family status...etc.

However, if there was a "Pooner's Convention" here in lower mainland, I would certainly make some excuses and attend.
I know, there is all kinds of issues with privacy and all that, however, do not attend if you do not feel secure.
Do not advertise except in here, have the SPs come and network with clients and new clients.

Think about the time you will save by not having to visit so many SPs just to find out half of them are not the looks you are looking for...etc.
SPs can weed out undesirables...
Make it a straight networking event, no "transaction" actually taking place until arrange it on your own time.

If this does happen - how many of you would actually go?

years ago somebody put together a meet at one of the strip clubs on a quiet night - i seem to remember maybe vancouverman had something to do with it. it went ok... definitely a sausagefest though.. but the funniest thing was this ring of lone males along the wall tables and booths nursing drinks all night long and trying not to get caught looking at the group. kinda like the wallflowers at high school dances, lol :)

I have met a few, we met for beers at Steamworks one night, it was a good time, I enjoyed it quite a bit!

My concern would be running into someone I knew, lol but then we'd both be in the same boat so its a worthy risk.
Being Married discretion is a must, so I would be hesitant to go unless I felt comfortable with the venue and host/hostess

You may not all be in the same boat. Being married may mean you have more to lose than the unmarried dude. Similarly, the CEO of a company has more to lose than the guy between jobs. I remember a post in another thread where one guy and his buddy pooned and they knew about each other. Then one day the unmarried of the 2 announces that he thinks it's a good idea for the married guy to share his wife with him. Talk about a Wtf!!!

Needless to say, the threats of being outed to his wife began. I'm not sure how it all ended but it sounded really messy.

Haha...do you remember the post about the SP who walked into a local business, only to find that two of her clients owned the business, and they were father and son, who obviously didn't know the first thing about each others' dalliances? When one of them began walking towards her with a smile on his face, she high-tailed it out of there (the story went something like that, anyhow)...talk about train-wreck-avoidance!

Harvi and her ladies in Victoria put on an event once in awhile that is apparently legendary. It's by private invite though. A group of girls or agency should do that in Van.
