What is scary is that despite the revelations of the two BIG lies, there are countless Americans on the political right that disbelieve the truth. They still buy into the lies despite the guy (Dubyah) that told them the lies later told them the truth.

It's that ignorant attitude, and US foreign policy, of it you aren't with us then you are against us. But I'm also that surprised the US had a hissy with Europe. As the EU gets stronger, especially economically, the more the US will throw hissy fits.

As for Quebec independence, it's not the shallow bullshit like western alienation is. Quebeckers were discriminated against for most of this country's history. Not to mention the dictatorial control the RC Church had in the province. The Quiet Revolution of the 1960's helped to put a stop to that.
But I agree, to keep us from united the establishment (IE: Bay Street and the political parties they control) does like trot out hot button issues to piss us off.
