I was in one studio where I was (and continue to remain) convinced there was a camera in the room, poking its nosely little eye out from a hole cut in the ceiling tiles. I don't mind being recorded walking into and out of any establishment, though I agree that being recorded while in a room is a little disconcerting, but I can see how there could be a requirement for the cameras. I noticed the camera before the session and asked the SP about it (who denied its existence) and continued with the session. If she had of confirmed it was a camera, I would have still stayed for the session for hand-in-the-cookie-jar reasons, and for the service provided would have happily returned to the parlour.
I don't have any enormous aspirations in life, and as I understand, parlours are quasi-legal, so I don't care that I'm being recorded coming or going. If the cameras are there for the owners to ensure the staff aren't stiffing them on room fees, then a camera in the hall watching the rooms' entrances would suffice.
Personally, I'd be quite happy being told up-front that I am being recorded. Put a sign on the door that says, "Smile! You're on camera!" and people will behave. A person can then confront their SP about a camera being in the room or not. And ask for a video recording for an additional $20.
Since I don't have any proof beyond my own speculation as to the existence of the camera, I won't mention the parlour's name.
