I'm not a fan ... doesn't look great and doesn't seem like it would be a comfortable ride. Almost like a kids BMX bike.

"Built for the demands of urban jungle".
True to the description, the paint is mimicking road markings to make you virtually invisible in the streets. Ehhh... Wait...

So I ordered something goofy looking for this coming spring when the dealer has it in stock. Its a 2014 Cannondale Hooligan. I think the paint job is hideous but after reading reviews I could not stop myself from getting one. Whats your opinion of the paint job?

Is this a joke? Because I find it very funny!! Sorry to say I thought it was a kids bike too. Perhaps it is jut the photo, you probably have to see it in person.

I wanted this color scheme. I think it looks beautiful. The dealer has never sold one or seen one on the street, the guys says they are very popular in Japan. I plan to ride this thing around Downtown areas.

Compact size is a plus, tiny wheels are a neg. Just not very efficient. You're going to get fatigued earlier.

Offset front fork is probably just a talking point more than anything practical.

At $1200 it seems pricey for a city bike that looks like a toy.

These bikes are all the rage in the USA right now and have been for about a year or so. They are not a kids bike. $$$ too

..............in the hope all the Japanese ESL students will......chase you down the street to steal it ? Think you're cool and offer to have sex with you ? ......or.....?

Actually, I kind of like it though I'd look like a total idiot riding it......plus that damn seat would probably slide right up my ass, considering my size.:D:nod:

I am interested to hear what you think of it after riding for a few months. The design is more for carrying than for riding, the smaller tires will get caught in bigger potholes and other obstacles. If you are carrying it up a lot of stairs or throwing it in the trunk it's a bonus, but for riding I can't see how it would be better than a traditional 26. A lot of people are even going with 29's now for increased pedaling efficiency. good luck with that Honda.

If it's nimble enough to get out of my way while you're riding around...then it's a good purchase :D

The front fork is cool but if you jump it or hop a curb you are more then likely going to bend the front axle off 90 degrees and then you own a piece of shite... Its a Cannondale so it should be good, I am interested in how it works out/

How much $$$ ?

The paint job is not impressive, but as an "out'n about" bike it looks pretty good.
20" wheels will make it nimble to ride and, easy to store or carry. Disk brakes are nice, better stopping power and all weather capable. Single-side fork makes front puncture repairs a snap; looks like an internal geared hub in the back

Getting a bike to get around in downtown Vancouver is not a bad idea, after all the city is down right screwed up when it comes to trying to get around in a car now. However, anything more than a couple of hundred$$ for that thing and I think you have more money than ....

How can you knock something before you try it. I went to REI tonight and tried one of those folding bikes with 20 inch wheels, explosive off the mark acceleration. Like Pavel Bure fast. It turns like a go cart. I am so looking forward to riding this, I can take it in the stores downtown and not lock it up. BTW the Hooligan has been around since 08 :)
