Similar in a way to you Spermie, of all the places I have been, home is my favorite, close to family. I make a point of getting up early every morning, putting on the fireplace, sipping my first cup of coffee, relaxing in my recliner and feeling good about life.

Have to agree with Venice, like being in a different time almost. The canals, gondolas were great! People everywhere and so much history, culture and so very foreign.
I have been to both Hong Kong and Japan. I am quite sure you will have so much fun in both places, but I prefer Japan since it is much cleaner than Hong Kong and Japanese people are more polite. It is more expensive in Japan/Tokyo than Hong Kong, but I had the best sushi in Tokyo and loved the clubs there. I don't know when you are thinking about going, but why don't you go to Japan then to Hong Kong? The penis festival is coming soon in Japan!

For relaxation, outside North America I've always loved Bali. Its like being in a different planet outside Indonesia. Always preferred the Four Seasons at Jimbaran Bay and the BVLGARI Hotel which overlooks the ocean.

Cool places mentioned. Would like to second on the stylish city of Barcelona. Besides the abundance of beautiful and hot girls everywhere, the city's culture and art is truly one of a kind. Antoni Gaudi's architecture which is displayed throughout Barcelona is truly amazing and inspirational. Fascinating Spanish Art Nouveau. The city is the crossroads where old world meeting new world. Gotta love Barcelona, one of a kind architecture, great nightlife, one hell of a soccer team, and some of the hottest women in Europe.
The New York Times voted Beirut, Lebanon as the best place to visit in 2009. Sky Bar in Beirut remains one of the best nightspots in the world. My DJ friend based in Vancouver who frequently performs in Beirut always has good things to say about its nightlife. Plus, there's a new Four Seasons Hotel in the city as well. I guess its time to embark on a new adventure to the Pearl of the Middle East.
