oh and BJH will not be in this thread. This doesn't have the words: Canucks, Luoango or the Twins/swedish meatballs/henrik/daniel sedin.

oops they do now!
waiting for a responce from you BJH. ::rolleyes::
C'mon, you really don't think I'm that anti-Canuck, do ya? ;)

Think Detroit will repeat as long as Lidstrom's back...Pitts still weaker on D, and the Wings' system, experience and confidence will overwhelm the pens...

compared to last year, they got BETTER...adding Hossa is even more ammo. Sure, pens took a few baby steps forward w/ Kunitz, Guerin, but hey, we're talking about a blue collar worker and an aging veteran, though he's still scoring, and it's not too tough when Crosby's feeding him, eh? Just ask Warren Young how easy it was to tap those Mario's feeds ;)

I say Wings in 7! the more games, the merrier, more bbq's and bars! ;)

and much more enjoyable times now that no more canuck bandwagons saying stupid comments!

They're doing the same thing they did in '97 to the Flyers - roll 3-4 lines and play nearly perfect team defense.

Sidney's no wuss - but Zetterberg is definitely in his head.

Wings were outshot - but not out-chanced, IMO. Abdelkader was amazing again. So was Bill Guerin, who always seems to crank it up in the playoffs.

But I think it's pretty much over. Top to bottom, Wings play a better team game. And Ozzie has something to prove.

I think this series is over....Sidney is a wuss.
He does have that wussy little attitude, but he can be pretty tough when he doesn't pull the little tantrums.

Only once in history has a team come back to win the cup after being down two games, it is over for pittsburgh

I used to live near Pgh. Almost no one likes Crosby (or the team) there :-X

Although it would have been cool to see them win for one reason - Pennsylvania teams would have swept every sport people care about there*: Football, Hockey, Baseball.

*NBA is not all that big in most of PA.

Are you sure, maybe where you were around, the ppl you talked to, worked with, etc. weren't into hockey.

They've been selling out over the years, plus with the new rink that Lemieux's building, it had to have fan support to start.

...

this incessant snipping at Crosby is pathetic...

he is 21 years old and is arguably one of the top three players in the world...

he is a player that any team in the NHL would love to have in their lineup including the Vancouver Canucks:rolleyes: ...

The Vancouver Canucks, yes, but not the bandwagons here ;) remember, u've got perbs like Trackie who only think one way, just love the swedish meatballs crap that's been stale here for the past 7 years.

They're still holding out hope, and hopeless hope if you will, that this Swedish team can lead the Nucks to the promised land. If it's not the swedish problem, then you've got the canucks curse to deal with.

which will plague Gillis sooner or later, if not already ;)

Even though Cindy and Evelyn is playing much better in the 1st 2 games than last year, Detroit's 3rd and 4th line are just too much for the Pens'.

Evelyn??? Surely you jest. Malkin works hard on every shift and is dangerous every time he touches the puck. He's taken a few too many penelties for my liking but he is playing with emotion and heart. Malkin is far from the problem.
The problem is that Detroit is too good. No shame in losing to the best when you're giving it your best.

Dude you completely missed my point, I was actually praising them both for their play in the finals so far. I think it is fair to say that the top 2 lines on both teams are neutralizing each other. However, Detroit's 3rd and 4th line are what's killing Pittsburgh. Detroit is also killing them in the faceoff circle and they are about to get their best faceoff man back in Draper. Some people have put the blame on Fleury but the reality is that you are not going to win many games when you only score 1 goal per game.

top three in the world??? really??

I'm not denying he has talent but if I was building a team from scratch there are a few players I'd want before him.

And he'll never be my first pick in a fantasy draft.
