Pimps in bars?

So last night I was hanging out at my favorite watering hole, nursing a drink and standing around by myself as I waited for a couple of buddies to show up. This one guy stands beside me for a bit and then strikes up a conversation with me. He asked me what I did for a living and what car I drove. Then he was on his cell for a while. After that, he mentioned that it was one of his girlfriends...and with that, he started his sales pitch. He offered me a girl with a clean room and a condom. I politely declined and told him that there's plenty of desperate guys to sell his wares to.

This is the first time I've encountered SP advertising like this in a bar or nightclub. Is this a common occurance?

Never have had that happen to me but I have had SP's approach me where I had declined but never a pimp.

If you are in a bar and you now have an SO you should be careful. Pimps and SP's can always spot a John so your attitude must still be the same as it was when you were pooning! Be careful!

Got into a cab at Las Vegas airport and within 2 minutes the guy asked me if I was looking for a girl for the night. Friend of friend thing!

Never in Canada or the U.S., but it always happens at least once if I'm travelling south of the U.S. Down there, if you're white, male, and alone, you're considered a potential customer. Never took them up on it though. Getting rolled or put in jail in a third world country never appealed to me.

Wolvie it could have been a guy who just wanted you to nail his girlfriend because they both needed a little cash to get by. I wouldn't get mixed up in that, or as was mentioned he could have been setting you up to roll you.

I never had it happen to me until I went to the UK. And even then very rarelly and always towards the end of the month. YMMV, and I sure don't look hip.

SO or not, I can't help but check out the honeys on the dance floor, which is exactly what I was doing when this guy started talking to me. He did ask me what type of girl I was looking for, and I jokingly said "Whoever's horny!"

I think I would be more wary of a girl who approaches you at a bar and wants to take you home. I mean, if you're some schmuck who can't even score with bus-stop skanks and some young centerfold hottie is picking you up instead of someone more in her league, you're likely to end up with an empty bank account and perhaps a missing organ or two.

Bar Flies

Well I travel across Canada many times a year.

when staying D'town in major centers (TO / Mtl / Wpg / Vanc) it is very common to be approached by ladies at the bar especially if you are there having a late-night drink before retiring for the night.

I would say that I get "the Eye" or "chat" at least 50% of the time.

A lot of the time these "Bar Flies" have had a date earlier at that hotel and are just checking if there are any more opportunities for the evening.
