Phones, apps and email. Input from the ladies of PERB would be appreciated.

I know some SP's won’t engage with guys using apps, and I’m not here to debate that, I’m sure you have valid reasons.

I’d like the ladies input on this issue if possible, as there are several threads regarding phones, plans, and options now that the easy prepaid plans like Speakout seem to have disappeared.

I was a Speakout user until the whole thing went tits up for me as several guys have experienced, so I’ve started using a texting app which seems to work well.

Ladies, if I used email for an enquiry and booking (as I prefer to use anyway) and just used a text app for final communication before our date to say I’m there, get a room number or access code etc… would that be Ok with you? I could tell you before hand that I was using an app, and the # to expect me to text from if that worked.

Your thoughts would be appreciated.

If they say no phone app it’s no phone app regardless of email or not. They aren’t gonna magically let people around and bust there own rules that they had made up from past experiences.

Just go get a pay as you go koodo, I’m paying $20 a month.

Depends entirely on the provider!

However, if you are willing to provide verification/screening of some kind of real world info, then I am personally happy to book someone using text apps or through email only. Using a real phone number is one way for clients to demonstrate they are real humans with good intentions, but it's not the only way ☺

Relevant thread:

Surprisingly, this topic comes up as a discussion only a few times per year, but definitely aggressively prodded in 411 😂

Tldr; assholes are bolder when anonymous, and they ruin everything.

My friends who allow booking via text have a lot more potential clients to screen through overall. Considering the unfortunate reality that text app numbers are too often used by disrespectful BL-worthy weirdos, it is more efficient for them to skip responding to app numbers and focus their energy on other inquiries.

Responding to inform these guys that text app numbers are not acceptable typically results in nasty responses from them. It's safer to either ignore them or respond as excessively kindly as possible, because the negative repurcussions of saying "no" to possible landmine losers far outweigh the potential positives (ie. a booking, a fun date, etc).

Ladies, if I used email for an enquiry and booking (as I prefer to use anyway) and just used a text app for final communication before our date to say I’m there, get a room number or access code etc… would that be Ok with you? I could tell you before hand that I was using an app, and the # to expect me to text from if that worked.
If I receive both the regular cell phone number and a discrete text app number, with a request to only contact via text app number, I am happy to book in a respectful client! It's not uncommon for potential clients to ask me to contact them through email-only too. Honesty is important and saves everyone the stress & time 🧼🫧

I hope everyone finds their best matches to their comfort, discretion, and desires 🩵

I do require a verification method before I will meet anyone. So your suggestion works for me. I get you are trying to be discreet. Just remember, us ladies are also discreet.

Is a text from an app more anonymous than a text from a burner phone?

Also, places ike Riza's prefer we use Telegram. I have a basic burner phone that doesn't allow apps to be uploaded. What is the advantage of them using Telegram for bookings?

Bumping this because I'm genuinely interested to know what the the advantage is for agencies or SP's to use Telegram for bookings? If I don't have, or can't use Telegram, why can't a simple burner phone be used?

I had no clue there was so much hate for a textnow or textme

Unknown name and number - rarely entertain. Must be a bigger city problem.

I have clients confirm 2 hours before from textnow or textme. I always have a back up plan when they no show. Lmfao

I hate them especially Next/textplus. They arbitrarily reassign your number despite following their term and conditions. I noticed this with legacy accounts. Even after it's reassigned, they won't allow you to obtain a new number. The ads can be overwhelming too. Premium can set you back about $10 USD a month.

I got a 2nd phone right away - as a service provider

But i dont mind clients texting from number masks..I do as them to remember the last 4 digits so I can reverse look up our old texts (I dont delete) helps give them credibility and not worry.

Isn't having more than one phone necessary as a provider? I know one provider who has at least three.

I don't know if anyone remembers the era when we had pay phones, Buy & Sell instead of Craigslist, Leolist, and no mobile phones. Not sure how providers like @rinamood back in the day would screen clients.
