Phone Number Question

I received a strange number on my cell the other day. (I'm in TO) it started with a 141 area code, someone here told me they thought it was from BC, Itried to check it online and nothing would show up. Can any of you people tell me if it is infact from BC?

Not an area code in use here in BC (604, 778, 250 in use here)

and the internet Area code lookup directory says that it is not a valid area code

Maybe it is also showing the country code (1 is used in Canada and the USA) and then the next 3 numbers would be the area code.
It would sometimes display that way if it is an internet phone

The number just came up 141 then a regular seven digits
Is it possible that it's a new area code for cell phones? I know that we have a few new area codes that seem to be just for cells and don't show up anywhere when you look for them, Maybe I'll just have to try the number, hate wasteing the time if it's just some telemarketer.LOL
