The devastation in the Philippines is almost too much to comprehend.

These people are suffering badly and need help now.

Please think about how much we have and how much they need and donate anything.

Donations to Red Cross/ World Vision/ Drs Without Borders/ even animal rescue organizations to care for animals farmers and villagers will need.

Thank you.

Really nasty storm from what we see on the news. Why so long to get food there? I would contribute to a first response fund for people hurt by natural disaster like this in the hopes that some innovation comes in the form of speed when in comes to disaster relief. Maybe a plane or ten strategically located in storm season hotspots with non-perishable food and emergency medical supplies always onboard. Drop and go, get 'er done. Have it run by a maniac surfer that knows how to move when the surf is up, or a total horndog who just got a booty call. No government approvals or policies in play--just move. Let's fund the PERB RELIEVER (Primary Emergency Response Batallion). OK, maybe not. I just feel for the dire circumstances and frustration these people must be going through just to survive the first few days.

I am always deeply saddened by the images of natural disasters and even more so by the pictures of people surveying the damage and trying desperately to find missing possession or lost loved ones. It is heartbreaking to see.

Imagine having NOTHING. Nothing. Everything you own (and possibly your entire family) is gone. Very upsetting. :(
