I am loving the looks of this course. This years PGA Championship is looking like the British Open on US soil. Almost links style golf and pretty much guaranteed windy conditions should make for a challenging week. Tiger may even have a chance since he is not coming off a win the week before a major as he did for the previous 3 majors.

I don't think we will see another first time major winner. These windy conditions they will face should bring the best and most experienced in the game to the top of the leaderboard on the weekend. We'll see if Woods can avoid another weekend collapse in a major

would be nice to see a few of the new young guns go head to head on the last day , and also see if Tiger can stick his lower pouting lip out even further , and slam a few more clubs into the ground.
if his name were not tiger he would never get away with his bullshit , he would get a suspension.

Would Micheal Jordan have gotten away with punching out his teamate Steve Kerr if his name wasn't Micheal Jordan? Of course not, once in a generation athletes are provide much more leeway than the simple elite - and deservedly so (the scrutiny, pressure, and expectation on them are enough to probably break the average man).

Or at least drive him to poon on the side :D It's why I love Tiger! He's just like us (except he can shoot 8 under, instead of 28 over...)

People talk about some snippet from Sportscenter or something they read in the paper. Most don't really follow golf otherwise they would know that Tiger's antics on the course are a mole hill compared to the outbursts of even popular golfers. People have done way worse than Tiger. Garcia is notorious for his freakouts and Henrik Stenson can completely lose it as well:

But the overwhelming majority of golfers don't have the cameras on them for every move they make on the course. Tigers reactions to a poor shot are nothing compared to Sergio.

I'd be HAPPY with 28 over... lol...
Yeah well I would have been over the fucking moon when I cut the dogleg right on the 10th at Wintergreen a few weeks back and been rewarded with a birdie....I hit a million dollar tee shot that threaded the eye of the needle and my precious Calloway Hexbite golf ball landed 20 yards short of the green....I hit that incredible shot and spent 10 minutes looking for my ball....I had ample time as everydody else did not drive it as far......the perfect tee shot and what do I get....a fucking 8 because the cart gals distrcted me and the people I was playing with haf no decent consideration for quiet.....best tee shot of my life pissed away.....kinda sucks.

This is turning more and more into a British Open type week at the PGA Championship. The course is getting pounded with rain and there is rain in the forecast along with wind and thunderstorms for the entire tournament. The course is long already and softening it up means they may have to adust the tees for many holes.

I hate it when tournaments can be decided by whether or not you get the poor end of the draw with the worst weather. Hopefully the weather is consistent for both the morning and afternoon groups.

Actually I am happy for the fact that I get that one perfect unbelievable shot/putt per round that is PGA tour highlite reel worthy and once a season I get one that is of Tiger like quality....last year is was a 70 foot down hill putt that was a double breaker.....just as it was 5 yards from the cup it started to slow down on the 2nd ridge and a playing partner said "nice putt" my reply was "it's not over yet" and the ball crested the ridge and ran into the cup with perfect pace....sadly it was only par. This year thus far it has to be my drive from the 10th at Wintergreen....I smashed it as solid as I could have down the right side and put it through the trees like I was threading a needle....cut the dogleg right completely off....I ended up 20 yards short of the green on a par 4...of course I fucked up the next 2 chip shots and then I 3 putted and I scored a 6 when I should have made birdie or even an eagle...it does not help when you have to wait for 10 fricken minutes for your playing companions to finish talking with the cart gal whilst you wait to hit your second shot though.

The course played easier for the morning rounds. We'll see if those who got the tougher conditions today rebound with their morning start on Friday. But guys like Westwood, Donald, Dufner, Mickelson and Watson could be in danger of missing the cut if they don't get their act together.

Phil shot the best 1 over round I have seen in a while. The dude was all over the place but his scrambling saved him from shooting 5 over.

Painfully brutal conditions out there today. I loved it. One guy, D.A Points, who was only 1 over after yesterday, shot a 49 on his first 9 today!! He only parred one hole on his front 9. The rest were bogeys, doubles and 2 triples. Talk about a tough day at the office.
