About 1.5 weeks ago, there was a slow down in giving the vaccination shots due to the limited number of shots available for a 2 shot vaccination plan. Had alot of people in charge scrambling around trying to find solutions. Something about production short falls or someother sob story.

So on the news tonite, it seems Canada might not be getting the aloted shipments of vaccine shots. Could it be about that it is a pressure tool tactic to ensure they get tax cuts and credits.

The government should not keel in to this pressure, and in fact the public should be "outraged'. I do believe there are laws against this for hording, or withholding essential materials during emergencies. Not sure what those laws are.

For me, I will be one of the last people to get a shot. Why, there are more important people (like doctors and nurses, hospital staff, old folks home -staff and care, police, ambulance, firefighter, basicly essential service workers, then the elderly, ). Which means I can wait for the shot.

But if this is a pressure tactic....

I say fuck them. Tax them twice as much and put the fucken CEO and mangers of Pfizer in jail.

Better yet, fucken whip them in public first....(sorry I know this won't happen... probally why I wouldn't be a good politician, but excellent dictator!)

So now a solution: With the Covid virus showing how inadequate the Canadian governments were at the start and the fact that they don't have really advance biological labs that could investigate viruses, maybe the government should form a crown corporation that does this and can make vaccines. Think job security. In no way now can Canada (put its head in the sand like an ostrich) not be on the forefront of any technology in this world of spreading viruses and biotoxins. Biological warefare is the scariest weapon of all.... hopefully the Corona virus has given every one a very good scare and reasons to form a new Crown Corporation....

Actually looks like you'd make a great politician - creating a new Crown Corporation to deal with something that might happen every hundred years or so....
This thread is solely based on the OP's incorrect assumption that Pfizer was delaying vaccine rollout for monetary reasons but offers, as usual, absolutely zero proof of this. BS.

I do believe there was an article or news report on the vizer's company waiting for an application of tax cuts in Canada/Ontario (I think I mentioned that already). So with so much shortage of that vaccine at the time of the news report; why is it that Canada is getting the vaccine now, when the head company (vizer) said Canadas' supply had to wait. I pretty sure Canada gave them tax credits or made some deal so that the vaccine flowed (not mentioned to public of course)...

Cause it seems Canada is getting the vaccine now. I have to wonder why?

And yes Canada should have something like the US has (Center for Disease Control with reseach facilities). Why dosen't Canada have research facilities for researching virus and bacteria? Universities are not enough, whose individuals priorities are to do research and then form a company to make money. An outsider sees that its not about the research, its about future profits. Health is a provincial responsilibility, not federal.

Billiam the future threat to world security lies with viruses and bacterias that can be weaponized. Today the biggest threat is ISIS, what happens when they go biological? After 911, most airports were to be secured from bombs, well for the most part they are, but there are always slips ups.

Biologicals are alot harder to find.

Your local lifelabs are not equiped to deal with those types of biologicals.

Today in the world we live, there are meth labs, chances are somewhere in your neighbourhood there is a meth lab. If someone can make meth in your neighbourhood, that same person could make biologicals....
