In the last few weeks, like most of you, I have adjusted my life. Work is no longer what it was. Social contacts have been reduced to text, phone and zoom meetings, complimented by the odd shared walk (maintaining appropriate social distance), and chance encounters with friends/acquaintances on the street or in store lineups.

I know this is a first world/privileged problem, but I realized that personally some of the first casualties of the pandemic are: things to look forward to and loss of personal goals.

I have started to make a plan to fill the void: make one new to me dish a week, read one book a week and run four times a week (including one speed session on a track and one trail run) as long as it is permitted.

What is your plan?

It really is incredible and awe-striking - though distressing - that we are living through a pandemic that discrimninates against no one.. no matter your social class, income level, gender, sexual orientation, race or ethnicity..

What are you doing to further yourself, grow, stimulate your brain, visualize and get a step closer to your goals and aspirations? How are you feeding your brain and fueling your energies at this time? What new things have you learned in the past little bit? Any new habits you've picked up? Any improvements or additions to your daily routines?

  • I've gotten familiar with a more complicated way of curling my hair - with amazing results.. starting in the middle of the hair strand as opposed to start toward the end.. this helps me prevent more damage to my already processed hair and helps me to grow my hair as long and healthily as possible - a big goal of mine!
  • I've done, for the first time, a brazilian hair removal at home - complete with mirrors, awkward positions, and lots of netflix as a soothing buffer
  • I'm getting accustomed to drinking 2L of water a day (I guess it helps that you don't have to worry about the accompanying 20 washroom pees you need to take with a small bladder like mine, since you're home anyway!)
  • Started healthier eating by being very conscientious of caloric content as well as nutritional value and how filling and sustainable foods are comparatively, moulding and ameliorating my mindset and attitude towards food.. trying to get away from seeing unhealthy food as a 'reward/pleasure center' - intense research done from models, celebs, fitness and nutrition gurus of youtube
  • Learned how to use my Neewer 3-axis Gimbal to produce video content and shot a few test videos and learning InshotPro mobile app software to edit said videos
  • Separated my phone lines and got a sw work phone set up in order to secondary authenticate my social media platforms
  • Purged useless contacts out of my phone and out of my life (>200), changed my personal phone number
  • Learning the process of how to upgrade homes (for example when selling a home in order to secure financing for an upgraded home)
  • Keeping an eye on real estate housing prices using Redfin in surrounding downtown neighbourhoods
  • ...and going!!!

Honestly, every day is a new day and an opportunity for growth. This time to ourselves can be a blessing or a curse. You choose.

Life hasn't really changed that much for me. I'm an introvert and I'm looking after my 90 yr old mom so my life before all this was work and then going home to tend to mom.I only use to poon twice a month . So when things go back to normal that's what I'll do.

Rob a bank. Get those automatics, wear fetish gear to preserve identity, steal car from posh neighbourhood, check gas, rob bank Bonnie and Clyde way, escape (roads are much less busy now). Pass several doughnut shops to loose the police. Go immediately to Casino, exchange cash for chips; and play a few rounds of blackjack, then exchange the chips left over for cash....
I would probably want to do this on the mainland....

You put way more thought into your answer than most people do. Great job, I applaud you.

Would work better to lose the police rather than loose them.
