I have been a member of Perb now for about two months, being a computer geek I enjoy the CHAT, but there are rarely any Perb's in the Chatroom, I have met a few, but it is mostly Terbs.

I have noticed that the group in the east have a much more interactive culture, some of them know each other personally, they have get togethers and even parties...

Is there any reason why that culture is not the same here in the west?, I can see the obvious reasons, the whole debacle with MM, and I suspect many of us are married and this would add an element of risk to what we are doing.

Just curious, I am not suggesting that we all become Buds, I am just wondering why the difference?

Yes good question. Maybe its a Vancouver thing? Don't we have some rep as being clicky or unfriendly or something? Its all business on here

True. I attended a few when I lived in TO. Every time the topic is broached here, it gets shot down pretty quickly. Why? I don't know, but my guess is that it's a small world, and even smaller here in Vancouver. The Toronto board is huge; going to a Terb gathering guarantees you will meet people you've never even seen on the board. Here, the commuity is much smaller; things get incestuous. I'm guessing that once the question of a possible Perb gathering is brought up, most people on this board can think of at least a half-dozen others they would never want to meet in person.

Shame, really, as those Terb parties were a great place to connect with and meet a lot of agency/MP girls and independents.

I am a member of both Perb and Terb. I also found Terb via chat. Terb has a lot more topic forums and topics discussed but I find that there are too many topics and a lot of the threads get lost in the process. I find that perb is much easier to navigate.

I have to agree that ther Terb parties are a huge plus and that Perb should have them. My understanding is that Perb used to have them but it caused nothing but drama across the board.

Funny you should say this.I myself host a poker game every month with a regular contingent of members from CAF.It is a good time...we enjoy a good meal along with socializing and the like.I generally spend about 3-4 hours making/prepping dinner. It is a blast and a good time is allways had by everyone....none of us are married though...this regular monthly game took a lot of effort to set up I will say.I myself and my guests look forward to it each month and my culinary skills have gotten way better since I started to host the game.
