One major thing

*Sigh*.......CLM some of this post is very good advice. I agree that all reviews should be taken with a grain of salt as they are all opinions of the poster. As for the "Debacle" on the other board........well a poster vented frustration at a situation and then felt that perhaps rather than add to the fire it was better to allow the thread to run its course. As you say there are two sides to every story and I believe that there are omissions from both.
I believe that the other board has flourished due to the fact that threads and reviews stand there no matter the outcome.
I disagree with here is that there are times some rants/reviews/posts don't "run their course" so to speak. Sometimes they turn into completely ridiculous pissing matches where the mods or the original poster or SOMEONE has to take some action if things get derailed. For example on this board I was reading the Saraphina apology thread where she said she was sorry for missing the "gang bang" I guess she had posted and it turned into something about how she can't manage her money etc and people speculating on that. Also depending on who you are...people either let a review stand for what it is or they randomly make comments because they have read things for years about you and keep threads alive ie- check my most recent review.

I also think on this board the shill police are very rampant.

CLM is referring to "things getting derailed". One thing is to stick to a topic, another thing is to degrade an entire person dependant on a post.

One thing I will say is I have been both a paid advertiser here and a non paying advertiser. The times things got removed is when posters would get into bickering back and forth debates that were personal attacks on one another rather than stating a fact and then moving forth. When people stick to the review and use it for what it's worth, I think that it is fair to say that they don't get removed no matter who you are....in my experience.

This is probably a controversial opinion but I would put it out there. I would like to see a post started by an sp (I guess it could be me,,,but we'll see if other sps and reviewers think this is a feasible idea) NOT about WHO is on the do not review list but a public statement of who WANTS to be reviewed and who DOESN'T want to have reviews.

It would be straight from the horses mouth...the girl can post it herself. Either say "hey guys...fire away...I love all your kind words and thank you" or "please do not review me as I do not wish to be."

This would be NOT anything in anyway binding but it would give the guys an idea what girls actually DO want reviews and those who don't. They obviously could get reviewed either way still...but it would set the record straight. Could make an interesting sticky too...

I notice there are some members who ask you before they review you and some who don't. It may make life easier just to have the girls say what their answer will be ahead of time. It still wouldn't stop poooners from reviewing or would force mods to remove anything other than doubt really. The few sps I talked to about it think it's kind of a cool idea to have a say either yes or no wise whether they welcome reviews. Your thoughts?

Nrp

Along the lines of what TTT says, but a thread tends to disappear off the front page. Why not just have NRP as part of your handle ? If the number of posts you have, and when you joined can be shown, why not if you want to be reviewed or not ? Then as CLM says, the devil is in the details, if there is a questionable post for a member that agrees to be reviewed, they can make their case. From the "pooner" end we can see where you stand on reviews and draw our own conclusions. We might draw the wrong conclusions, thinking " bad service " as opposed to " privacy and possible outing." But if a client is really interested they can get around that. Another possible way of dealing with that would be, no written review allowed, but if privacy as opposed to service is an issue, allow a modified review, only the numbers ratings for A / L / S. Again YMMV applies, but still better then nothing. Just some thoughts.

Make it short and sweet, I am going to put my .2 in it too.
I have been in the business a little over 4 years and started out no website nor pictures, I started to get some nice reviews on this board, but they all got deleted and called it big time shill.
This reg of mine from richmond with no post who said some nice things about me, he was called on it so badly, he said to me never again will look at this board again, he was so humiliated.
Then, later I started to advertise and people were saying all the advertisers are getting the good rev and bad ones will get deleted.
Now, I stopped advertising, but not becasue of that and some people still called my reviews shill a while ago.
Whatever happens, I know that I do my 100% when I am with somebody and my regulars know that well.
Good luck to all the new ladies who are trully good providers and trying to build up their reputation. :)
My imprtant line is, don't care if you write a review of me or not, however it is nice to know how you felt about the session with me, but if you do write a review as long as your words are truthful and honest, that's all I care.
Truth will come out sooner or later people will find out what kind of provider you are.

Exactly. Reviews are helpful feedback from the clients but aren't worth the energy and time expended if they aren't honest.:cool:

That is a brilliant idea until there is a sticky on who is on the Do Not Review list. They can even have it in their signature, too.

What you are referring to has been "The Great Debate". Some folks have experienced it first hand, others have only heard about its "lore". Some folks even refer to this phenomenon as the "No Review List", which may or may not even exist. Who knows? One day a review is here, the next day....poof.
Seeing this comment brings to mind the rules on another Review Board, (C not P..erb) The Mod has started a list of Girls that do not want any reviews of them, at the same time the Mod has also stated that anyone on the list is not allowed to post on the board.

Sounds like a good Idea to me.

Any others....You do not want any posts about you, then you should not be posting on here as well.

Just my 2 cents.

If you make that rule about girls who don't wanna be reviewed aren't allowed to post then you will just have a bunch of people pretending to be someone else so they can be here, theres no point. Also you will miss out on potential info that you want to know.

There are two totally different animals , here.

A client reviews the SPs but an SP doesn't review a client. A pooner makes a recommendation or a disapproval with a clear reference where a SP doesn't post criticizing that "this client was an amazing fuck. Here's his number." A warning on a violation of personal safety is excluded.

There is nothing to be gained with that kind of restriction. At any point can a client/pooner fabricate a review. The SP has little timely recourse should the review be false. There also still remains the likelihood as with many review boards face is: multiple handles-one person with multiple personalities each posting as a separate entity to earn credibilty for a potentially fraudulent post.

How do we ensure the integrity of an escort review board to remain pure?
Have everyone on a level playing field.

EVERYONE pays to post.
-the SPs post to advertise and free to voice their opinions and;
-the pooner reviews without compromising personal objectivity and without the risk of being looked upon as a shill as reviews with that paid posting privilege greatly decreases the probability the pooner to be dishonest. Paying to post will likely keep you honest. You now have something to lose if you are less than truthful, your money.

Another advantage to having an "everyone pay to post" forum is you will have minimal occurances of multiple handles which in turn results in;
-less strain on moderators to govern and enforce who undertake those type of duties on a volunteer basis considering that an overwhelming amount of greivances are where enforcement isn't perfomed in a timely fashion. Simply put mods would be able to invest the time to examine any greivances a lot more closely. To have happy moderators you will need;

-an impartial moderating staff. The counsel will comprise of an equal number of pooners and SPs. Moderation can't remain nondiscriminative if the tribunal consists of only one type of member (ie. just pooners, just SPs, etc.).

Okay, so you pooners ask "I like the fact that a free board means discretion isn't jeopardized" more relative for people in a committed relationship the solution would be;
-discreet generic billing if paying by credit card or through 3rd party billing/processing (Paypal, CCBill, etc.). Depending on some companies, there is the option of payments debitted from your chequing account if you didn't have, or choose to use, a credit card.
If you are in a committed relationship and prefer to pay in cash when visiting a SP then you are already finding a way to fund your fix. The situation isn't any different, it's just a form of payment. The same question would be asked of why you withdrew money from an account if you paid an SP in cash as you would if you just had the membership fee universally billed on your credit card or bank account.

Of course this model is not foolproof as there could very well be people with unlimited financial resources or the mentally ill. In which case, the numbers will still be quite low.

It's a win/win situation for everyone. I understand that it seems contradictory seeing as this is the internet where information is free for the taking but if you didn't look to this as an ideal option, then you need to ask yourself what is ruling your reason to post? Is it out of genuine concern or desire or responsibility to share your personal experience? Or is it that you have more sinister motives?

Which one are you?

Reviews

The premise we all count on for a board like this to be successful is that the reviews we read are the true experiences of the posters and that anyone who sees a provider has the same opportunity to express himself whether or not he had a good time.

For many good reasons given above in this thread, some SPs prefer not to be reviewed. While some may feel that this is not the SPs option in a public forum with freedom of speech, we know that this is a privately operated web-site and they can set their own rules. Within this context, it is acceptable for an SP to opt not to be reviewed. However, we should all try to agree that a NRP is really a NO Review Policy.

What I find highly UNacceptable are situations where some SPs have allowed some reviews to remain available (perhaps reviews that were favourable) while objecting to others (perhaps where they were less favourably depicted). This is not a case of not being reviewed, it has become a case of controlling which reviews remain open to the membership to read. This policy allows for the possibility that an SP would post (or cause to be posted) shill-type reviews and then delete any others which did not support this perspective. If an SP is popular with some clients but not with others, her reviews should reflect this my being mixed on the board. If the negative reviews only are deleted, it leaves the impression that the SP is universally popular and this will mislead other readers and defeat the purpose of the board.

It's also a misuse of this board to allow SPs to accept a number of (perhaps fairly positive) reviews and then impose a "no review policy" while still allowing the earlier reviews to stand. This approach leaves the door open to SPs who may allow their service to deteriorate while still maintaining a high-performing image on the board.

My view on this matter is that if an SP allows even one review to be posted then she must allow them all. If she really wants not to be reviewed then the NRP should be for real and no reviews of any sort should be posted. The only qualification I would make here, however, is that if a review is truly offencive and a clear personal attack for ulterior purposes, that the moderators should have the right to delete or remove it (as they would for any other post that was deemed offencive for any other reason).

Not this again.....

Okay, lets get a few things straight.

Proper reviews, good or bad, paid advertiser or not an advertiser stay on the board, unless a lady has asked me specifically not to be reviewed, I will honour her request, but then ALL reviews go.

Ask about, several of the ladies in the past have asked me to take down a review or edit something for one reason or another, and, depending on the circumstances, sometimes I will, sometimes I won't.

For a review to be edited or deleted, generally one of the following must happen;

it becomes a personal attack
it posts personal information / PM's / email
it goes way off course
it is an abvious shill (using IP's)
it posts obvious lies
an SP has asked to not be reviewed

NOW READ THIS VERY CAREFULLY - a review is never deleted simply because it is a bad review of an advertiser. Do some reasearch, there are plenty of bad reviews of paid advertisers out there. I know because I have been asked to delete some and have refused. I find the notion that I would delete a review for such a trivial reason extremely insulting.

Saying if you won't be reviewed you can't post is absurd. They would just create another handle, besides, then all pooners who do not post reviews would also have to be prohibited from posting.

How many of you would we have to get rid of then?
