I received the same e-mail and personally I see nothing wrong with the request, nor the manner in which it is being handled. A person is writing a book about escorting in North America (NOT about PERB), and as part of his/her field research has contacted actual escorts. What is so unusual about that?

Furthermore, he/she has guaranteed complete anonymity, and has even gone so far as to recommend that we establish an anonymous e-mail account for the purpose of answering the research questions.

The questions themselves are pretty standard research questions and have nothing to do with exposing "dirty PERB secrets" nor making a mockery of anyone on this board. We are told that we can answer as many or as few questions as we wish and provide as much or as little detail as we wish. I have not found this person to be aggressive nor pushy in the least; quite the contrary, in fact.

As said before the initial proposal was professional and I believe the SPs wo had received got the same proposal. We replied and the response just wasn't up to our standards. Unfortunately, I've turned my back on the proposal and sent their reply to the trash bin which has since been emptied. I'm sorry I can't help you out.
