Is mostly smoke and mirrors, ask Mr. Ecker how many millionaires he's created over the last 5-6 yrs of running this program.
The answer is very very few.
And would they have become millionaires on their own, the answer is most likely.
This is how LGAT works, get a room full of hundreds of people, for free or little cost, make them feel good - connected - then make them feel like they could be doing a lot better - make them feel that you have all of the answers, then offer them books, seminars, CD's and tapes to "help" them.
It's really designed to make you feel like you are actually doing/learning something.
Buy real estate instead.

I find the self-help books from the public library helpful. A lot of the seminars and books are based on some theories from business schools -- in theory, get a hold of some text books and read.
The keys are: self-awareness, environment, positioning, networking, efficiency, leveraging, leadership.

This girl tried to get me to one of the introduction seminars last year. Being curious about what she'd been going on and on for half an hour, I accepted but after reading up on it online, wasn't too sure I cared enough to go check it out. After she'd harassed me with 2-3 messages a day for a week about the stupid seminar and program, I lost any motivation to go check it out..or to return any of her calls. That was too cuckoo for me. Too bad cause she was my massage therapis and she was good. 
But I could just imagine her x20 trying to get me to join if I went to the seminar. Uh, No thanks. I'll pass.
I'm sure it works just great for a lot of ppl.. But knowing myself, it's not my kind of thing and I can find that info in other places and other ppl, as was suggested by someone else. If that chick was any indication of what it's like, it would just annoy me way too much.
But if you want it already packaged for you and think the cheerleading squad will help you...I'm sure it would work for you.

Mia, Chilli is right. The only person who does well in these deals is the mouth piece on the podium who makes it on selling you his or her so called helpful tapes etc. These jokers rely on folks who need someone to tell them what to do and what not to do. If you go, keep an open mind and ask yourself logical questions, watch the audience to see if they get fired up just because the person next to them is. Talk to some of your clients, many of them are likely self made and can offer good advice. You will learn more from pillow talk than a jazzed up selling bee.

In fact, if you want to learn this sort of stuff, just pick out some guys who obviously are having a lot of success in their lives and tell them that if they'll give you pointers and teach you the important dos and don'ts (and pay for dinner) you'll go out to dinner with them (Or, have them do a to-go order or order in if you don't want to bother going out). Bring a notebook with you and take good notes. That way you get all the good advice and coaching PLUS a free yummy dinner of your choice without giving any money to anyone for it.
These "we help" versus "self help" programs keep popping up all the time. Each one prrofesses to be the greatest "new way" of making you happy, wealthy and wise. They all come down to the "Power of Positive Thinking". Better to just buy the book!
