I must be a degenerate because I don't care if anyone knows my et details lol

For crypto payments, I am curious, though. Because the value is so volatile how do you guarantee when u send an amount by the time it's recieved and processed that value is the same or has shifted?
You are transacting in (let's say) BTC or ETH, i.e. "this service" for "x amount of BTC or ETH" - what that x amount is worth later is somewhat irrelevant. Or, (which is usually the case when a party accepts payment in a volatile crypto) the party accepting payment accepts said risk (i.e. volatility). If someone is willing to accept a volatile crypto as payment, it has utility to them (notwithstanding the volatility) that's all that really matters for transacting purposes (I don't care what the car dealership does with my dollars after I exchange my dollars for a car, same concept). Alternatively, pay them in a non-volatile crypto (like BUSD or Tether).

I was forced to buy crypto for the first time the other day because leolist is ONLY taking crypto now, and it was a fucking hassle and not worth it and I'm mad about it. GRRRRR. Also crypto is bad for the environment. However, with major credit cards pulling out of the adult industry due to FOSTA/SESTA we might not have another choice soon when it comes to advertising. I claim 100% of my income though and I intend to continue to do so, crypto makes that so annoying
We use Coinbase to pay with Crypto. It accepts deposits directly from the bank and is relatively hassle free.

Nothing incorrect about his statement unless you are using something like Monero, or mixing coins etc

Still a hell of a lot better than e-transfer which I can't believe people do, as it gives the full name of the sender to the SP, and the SP name to the client in the confirmation emails.
In regards to E-transfer your information is incorrect. Unless the provider has an auto deposit the name that shows is whatever name the clients puts when sending the transfer and for clients it really doesn’t matter because they have already provided their real world info when screening and e-transfer is actually a good way to verify that information.

Pooners should be using cash only.

If a SP were to tell me she doesn't accept cash anymore, I will just move on, plenty still do.
Yup. Someone has to explain to me like I'm stupid why anyone would want to leave a paper trail to semi-illicit and potentially embarrassing activities.

The biggest beneficiaries of electronic payments are the deposit scammers that are about 90% of the LL ads these days.

I'm too old to stop using cash for this hobby.

Cash has worked for me, for decades now. And it worked for millions of others guys, in the century plus before I began seeing SPs. I'll still be using cash for the last SP I ever see, when ready to stop the hobby. Someone will still be taking cash in 20 years, and she will have my business.

To me this isnt a question of whether or not sps will take cash, because they always will as long as cash is acceptable to be used in “normal” society but that is also becoming a bit harder as covid did take a little bite out of that. Crypto is becoming more used world wide, maybe not as fast as some would like to see but it is being adopted.

I for one love the idea of crypto and do use it to tip my ATF at random times. Its just a different way to think of money and how we view financial systems in the future.

But i also will use cash until i can no longer as the banks are a broken system, its hard enough to get your own money out of your bank, but they tell you its to protect you of course

I actually think that every SP should look into NFTs, gary v describes why and how businesses can use nfts as a way to have an exclusive club, also a way to get upfront money, but also get paid everytime a membership changes hands. You can use them as incentives for booking times or blocked off days/weekends, the possibilities are endless, i highly suggest you start to learn about how you can incorporate this into a business model.
