Just watched this Canadian drama film based on the comic memoir by cartoonist Chester Brown.
Its called Paying or It: A comic Memoir about being a John. I read this graphic novel doing a binge of non-superhero graphic novels. It was an interesting read and even got me interested in the industry. He lays out his whole experience and his odd open relationship with his then girlfriend.
The movie isn't that funny or too interesting but a solid version of the comic. I recommend the comic more, and he did a follow up called Mary Wept Over the Feet of Jesus. The original comic is a period piece because he started doing it in the late 90's and the industry has changed.
I think because we all partake its an interesting story worth a look.
