Pay for Apps thread

I guess it started with apps on phones.
Also for computer programs for your home computer for programs like Auto-cad, and other cad programs. Professional programs
Micro-soft went in for MS Office yearly subscription, instead of paying for it out right.
Streamed TV is on a yearly or monthly basis.
Now cars are doing it for apps in car.

I disagree. These apps are not required to run your life.
I have zero banking/financial apps on my phone.
Do not use Windows.
Tons of content on YT, Twitch and other streaming platforms for free.
Older pick up truck without back up cams, touch screens etc.
I am able to run my business, pay bills and otherwise function in life.
It all depends if you want to include these things in your life for the mere sake of 'convenience' or not.
