If someone has a problem with the way another person, or group of people, let's say George W. Bush and the American population, she has every right to say so. When that person occupies a public office, as Carolyn Parrish does, she has a responsibility to make any comments she chooses to make in a dignified, well-thought-out manner. Carolyn Parrish's comments were too simple and ignorant even for a PERB discussion. The fact that she revelled in her notoriety after making a string of idiotic comments is evidence enough that she needed to go. Even if I may agree with some of her opinions about George W. Bush, I am glad to see the back of her as a member of government, and I hope that her constituents will show her the door once and for all when the next general federal election comes around. Then we can read about her in ten or fifteen years when Maclean's magazine does a 'Where are they now' piece about has been news figures of the past. Good riddance.
