paranoia for you...advice would be greatly appreciated in regard to coverig my tracks

Hi Everyone,

Would love to get some experienced opinions here. A little about me, I am obviously VERY inexperienced in this hobby and maybe just overly naive in general.

Long story short, I have somehow found myself an amazing girlfriend (we are finally going steady as of a few days ago ) and have decided to put away this hobby in the interest of monogamy. Now with this whole C-36 bill floating around I am honestly quite terrified of some of its ramifications.

For one, I visited the CF Den a few times last year. However being relatively new to the hobby I wasn't really thinking straight and used my real name and phone number when i called to inquire. Now being a repeat Client I noticed that the lady would ask for my name and number and search me up to confirm whether I had been there before or not. Now that I look back on this, I AM FREAKING OUT!!!

In my head, if CF was storing my identifying information in their database, if by some terrible incident the RCMP came in and raided the place...could they not take the database as well find all the regular customers from there?

Same thing goes for some of the wonderful SPs I visited. It seemed to me that they would store my name and number on their phones and would recognize me as a regular when I called them. Again, I used my real name and number

What should I do to cover my tracks? Call all my old contacts and kindly request they remove me from all their databases and phones???

any visits you made to sp's before dec. 6, 2014 do not fall under the jurisdiction of c-36, as it was not yet law

so you need to qualify whether the visits about which you are concerned were pre- or post- c-36

that's the only way we can give you any meaningful advice

then you have nothing to worry about, the type of pooning you describe wasn't illegal then

just to make yourself feel better though, i believe you can contact the den and ask that your name be removed from their database for c-36 plus quitting reasons

So you are saying they will only go after new clients? As in the will look at when the database logged the new entries? I didn't quite think of that...I thought they would just go after every name that was on the list. I pray you are right!!

I think I will definitely take your suggestion then. Maybe I'll give them a call just in case. I hope they are kind enough to do so!

Also, I believe this would be in the jurisdiction of the Vancouver Police rather than the RCMP.
So, even less likely it would be investigated.

I can't speak for agencies as I have never worked for one, but from an Indy perspective... Anyone reputable would take kindly to your email or phone request to delete your info from her account/phone. I know quite a few ladies who routinely prune their accounts to get rid of old emails, but not everyone does, including myself. However, speaking within the "reputable" community I don't think you should fear your info being shared or "outed" so long as you were a respectful client and have no reason to be put on a black list.

Relax, nobdody gives a shit. Stop torturing yourself. Just chill out and enjoy your GF. And maybe get tested?

That would have been bull crap if we started getting charged for all the times we visited when it was legal.

As others have stated, no matter what the law, you can't be charged for breaking it retroactively. If the legal drinking age was 18 and you drank in your 18th birthday, then they raised it to 19 you would not need to worry about all the pictures taken at the party.

Unfortunately the reverse is also true. People arrested under a law that was later repealed (e.g. say marijuana became legal) don't automatically get out of jail. I recall a guy in the news having a sex offender record because he was 17 and his girlfriend 16 or something like that, and within months they changed the laws so that a difference of less than 2 years was not criminal, but too late for him because he'd already been convicted.
