I think Paralympics is starting this weekend. What do you think? Does anyone care about this? No Sydney Crosby!

Agreed, L2LP ! I hope that Vancouver will care about these athletes... unfortunately, they will not get the same coverage though
I think the Paralympics should've started first. The fever has died down now.
I wasn't overcome with Olympic fever - and did not partake in it.. but fully appreciate the training these athletes go through.. ESPECIALLY those competing in the Para olympics.
As already mentioned, The Paralympics will not get as much coverage as it really should but we can change that if we all participate. I will be definitely in on it. Not just because I have a friend that's an athlete and participating but because it really is amazing what they do.... What happened to Canadian Pride??? Some of the sports that we won gold medal in I never even normally watch!!!! but i was off my seat and yelling and screaming! So now that it's paralympics should it really be any different? I support them all the way =)
The games could use more coverage but at the end of the day, it's up to the viewing audience. There won't be a demand to watch these games by the general public. It is what it is. Sure, these athletes work and train hard and could provide some entertainment but I don't people have a keen interest in watching.
I doubt you'd be on the list for a memo of that nature, but did you consider he just likes folks from Nova Scotia ?Is Crosby your entire reason for living? Did God die and made Crosby His replacement but I just didn't get the memo?

The folks I've met from Nova Scotia all seem pretty cool, I don't think Spermeater gets out of his Mom's basment enough to meet them. He spends all his time being a troll on the internet.
And yes, thumbs up to all of the Paralympians., even the sledge hockey players, right Spermeater.
They seem like an afterthought.

That's a great idea. I can't believe there hasn't been a better effort by Vanoc to promote the games, if only to sell more licensed merchandise while there's still an opportunity to do so.
I did not go to any of the Olympic events. I did follow it though, mainly via the boards, hahaha. I was really proud of Canada for doing so well. We kicked ass. I will be following the Paralympics with the same enthusiasm.

It is true that these athletes are inspiring, but I don't think there will be much media coverage with Paralympics. What's the best game to watch?
