A group of friends staying downtown on the 21st of Nov weekend for a 40 th Bday. Heard the Pac Rim is a good place to stay. Any experience? Also heard that it's a good place to meet some ladies to enjoy the harbour view. lol? Advice needed.

The lady part is a yes. Depending. I've heard of girls going down there to "work " the bar ect. I've heard this from a few different ladies, ( None advertised on here ) crowd hustlers. All in different age groups ect. Thats the one I've heard of most girls lounging in, to work the scene, besides the river rock. One of the girls, ( I didn't know well) I shared a place with briefly(absolute hell, I split quick. ) her and her friends would go down there. Solid hustlers & really shady, so be careful, with whom you pick up.

So true, but most of the guys that go to the lounge there are looking to get "hustled." Very busy on weekends now, bouncers and everything. Go to yaletown etc and it seems like all women are hustlers these days. If you "party" thats a plus for them or really all they want

I was at a function there last week in one of the ballrooms and walking down the stairs I got quite a bit of smiles from a couple of ladies standing there.
Seemed kind of weird, reminded me of Vegas...
Not what I expected from a hotel like this and wasn't in any position to be hustled even if I wanted to!

Edit: Now I can't say for sure there was action to be had. Just that it was strange. I usually don't get too many second looks from the ladies.

Just curious. This thread uses the term "hustled" throughout. My initial reaction to that word is to associate it with the phrase "likely to be ripped off" but perhaps I'm not correct in this assumption. Does "hustled" in this case simply mean "business transaction made on the fly" ?

NOTE: I looked up "hustle" on the internet and the most common definition seemed to be some form of: "to make money in a dishonest fashion".

I think in this context we are referring to ladies trying to make a quick buck for less than promised service, or trying to upsell you once you get to the room.

At least that how I interpreted it.

...did you check your zipper......a wang dangle will usually get a smile or two....just have to figure out if it's in admiration or sympathy..

I love the PacRim for their room, drinks and service, but I would trust not one of those shady bar flies.
