that being said, your request of ‘discrete’ is subjective. There are plenty of options that don’t require meeting in the lobby. I don’t think I’ve ever been to hotel that doesn’t have a camera system. And that goes back to my first point… if you don’t give them a reason to check the cameras then they won’t.

Try Dayuse.com for a couple of options, you don’t need a room for a whole night after all Unless you do then good on you mate!!!
They usually list the Humphry on Main, which I’ve used and is much better than you’d think given the location. Normal hotel, clean and safe, parking on site and a back door off the lot which is right next to the elevator for discreet coming and goings.
Also they usually list the Holiday Inn on Pembina, which is also good but not as discreet in the access department. Likely the closest to you.
If you want to splurge the Fairmont also has day rooms on dayuse.

Disagree totally. every Airbnb i have ever had used at the least a ring door bell to see who is coming and going. hotels are staffed by indifferent minimum wage staff with hundred of peopel passing throuugh for a hundred different reasons and hardly anyone making eye contact with them .compared to some bored airbnb host having all day to scrutinise and assess the brief camera footage of a single couple. at the very least rent Airbnb as 2 people staying instead of 1
