What was supposed to be a filling turned out to be a WISDOM TOOTH extraction...I'm feeling very sorry for myself, and in a great deal of pain! Come to the chatroom and help me take my mind off it, or post something silly. Tell a joke, post a funny gif, and most of all...bring me a fresh icepack!!!

Oh I feel your pain!
I had three wisdom teeth removed at once. All were impacted i.e. coming in sideways. They were cut out by an oral surgeon who gave me pain killers for for 2 days. Unfortunately, my pain killers ran out and was still in pain. Dr Death as I called him called me a drug seeker MOFO.
Commiserations. My encounter with wisdom tooth extraction was painless in comparison. South African dentist in Hong Kong, but he knew what he was doing.
Minimal bleeding and I was back at work later that afternoon (for one), and I think the other was late in the day. Gave me painkillers but didn't need them.

They gave me two Advil before....told me to take Advil afterwards...THROB THROB THROB!!! All night long..
I actually had mine out at the Pacific Oral Health Centre which is affiliated with the UBC dental school. It hurts a lot less than it did last night when the freezing came out; I begged BB to kill me at one point it was throbbing so bad!
Thanks, Lavinia! I know about clove oil from when I was a kid and my mom would give it to me. The thing that's bothering me most right now is the STITCHES! They tickle!
Because it was a dental student teaching experience, they used gelfoam in the socket first and then sutured the gum to hold it it place to prevent dry socket...After all, no one likes a dry hole, right?
