A little off-topic, but any suggestions on places to eat in/around Metrotown mall? I have to go this week and thought I might as well grab dinner there. (Believe or not, I've never been to Metrotown before!) A few recommendations for different price ranges (under $15, 15-30, 30+) would be appreciated.

Thanks!

There's a McDicks in the Save-on-Foods. Then I go over to Starbucks for a Joe. Hit F-shop for a boo at their shit, maybe buy some blank DVD's. Also Right beside Starbucks is Red Robbin.

LOL granted these aint ***** joints, but do yah always need to be spendin 50 skins on grub.

For Jap food in or around metro town, I'd rather go to Damasu at station square!!

Its not all you can eat, but I think its better then Taisho Kaiten.

I just don't trust the sushi on the conveyor belt.....who knows how long each piece has been out there! lol

They renovated the food fair at Metrotown not too long ago and there are a few decent places for something quick and cheap. There is one place that serves a real turkey or roast beef dinner.

There is also the T&T Supermarket for some good and cheap Chinese or Japanese food.

The little donair shop between Save on Foods and Starbucks is also very good, proabably one of the best donairs I have ever had.

If you like something fancier, there is an Earls on Kingsway one block west of Willingdon. There is also a good Greek place one block west of the Earls as well.

I found the Japanese restaurant at Metropolis sucked ass in my opinion, not much selection, high prices for what you get compared to anything in Richmond. Better off to goto T&T and buy a sashimi platter.

Metrotown is not the culinary centre of the Lower Mainland.

There is OK but overpriced Indian food at the Saffron on the southwest corner of Kingsway and Kathleen, 2 blocks west of Willingdon. Across Kingsway is Raimi's Greek restaurant, which is a bit better.

Turkey Joe's!

For about $6 you get about $1 / 3 slices of turkey, a scoop of mashed potatoes, some corn and some vegetables. Pricey, but there aren't very many turkey franchise options out there.
I've eaten there a few times, myself, they go through about 7 turkeys a day.

Curry Express

Curry Express at the food floor near the Bay serves a pretty good butter chicken and palak paneer, with naan and chai for $6.99.

Thanks, everyone! I was short on time and ended up getting some quick take-out from T&T Supermarket. Good value for $. Next time, I'll have to arrive earlier and try one of those other restaurants. And save room for dessert...I'm thinking maybe a "Paige pie" would hit the spot! ;)
