I just happened to notice the ad in Wpg sun , and gave them a call. I was within a few blocks , on Portage , near Arlington so I dropped in. The girl at the front was very Oriental, could barely speak English, said there was one girl on. There was no furniture in waiting area but VERY CLEAN .Showed me the room, very nicely done , Newly renovated, VERY CLEAN, shower available, with a massage table, candles, soft music. She quoted 45 1/2 hr and 65 1 hr for total body nmassage. I didnt get to see the massuse, but the phone lady was fairly cute 6.5-7 about 25. She said the other girl was like her. I asked about extras, but she either didnt understand , or didnt want to. Anybody else been there yet? Comments? Would like any more info, as this may defimitly fill a void here in Wpg. Pm if you have more info.
Thanks.

I think its 904 Portage Ave. Look under adult massage in wpg Sun for phone #. It looks like it may be 99% legit place.

If it's legit there would be a massage licences on the wall issued by the Manitoba Massage Association.

It is true what Farmboy said. The place is clean with shower and a massage table. Actual location is 904 Portage..... the second floor of a strip mall. Both girls barely speak English. The masseuse was quite attractive (slim)and provided adequate service. The price he quoted is accurate $45 for the 1/2hr. and 65 for the hr. and an extra is available for $40. (HJ) This place may have potential for more but language is definitely a problem.

I'll wait a couple weeks for the craziness to die down. They're going to give the Sun ad all sorts of credit when I suspect that this thread is going to drive a bunch of business to them.

I was there for about 10 mins. The phone rang practically non stop! Mostly guys looking for info. I'm not sure who is running this place, but it may be a winner.

Okay so these two adies got right off the boat and have opened up a massage parlour??Now these ladies will give you a HJ for 40. Is this clothed or not? So the total for the HJ will be either 85 or 105 depending if you take 30 or 60 minutes.

It will be a winner if the owner has a massage parlour license. To my recollection the city is not handing out massage parlour license anymore? I think I will be waiting 2-4 weeks just to see what heat it brings? Bring that close to Cal and Eric your know they will make sure they have there licensing in place.

You know I've been hearing that they aren't handing out massage parlour licences line for years now, but does anyone actually know if that's true or not? It could be a rumour started by the few who do have licences to keep out the competition. I read the stipulations to get a licence and they seem pretty stiff. Apparently they have to post on the door the application for the licence with the date of the hearing on it. From what it sounds like, any of the neighbors in the area can complain and the licence won't go through. Has anyone on here actually tried to get a MP licence?

I remember the place on Alexander had to have one of those meetings and some group dragged or bribed everyone they could get who lived in the designated area to come to the meeting and oppose it and they got closed down so I would assume the same thing would happen if someone else tried it.

I am going to go out on a limb here. The mall owner likely thinks that it is a legitimate massage place - oriental shiatsu, aroma therepy, etc. The moment the police have a 'lil visit and discover that "sex" is offered, the land lord tosses them out.

The era of MPs is over, the only ones left have a "grandfather'ed" license that is no longer available to new business owners. A famous local SP was once offered the Rainbow license if she'd consent to marry the owner, then divorce him (or annul the marriage) and she'd then recieve the license in the settlement. Didn't happen, but that's likely the only way it could have changed hands.

Poor Rainbow now ... the boarded up doors and windows make me sad, but I always remember the interesting times I had there in the day!

went by and walked in. Seems clean and nice. The girl was in a room but came out. Cute but not gorgeous. Got osm einfo. Went out and noticed a concerned citizen sitting in her car observing everyone coming & going

Rainbow is now a parking lot. The building was leveled, and it sure cleaned up the block. The license for massage parlours are now not transferable from one address to another. If the address closes the license is then cancelled. This is the way the city was planning on getting rid of the MP locals. The other way is to zone out the MP's.

The bottom line is if there licensed massage therapists they have to post there license for the public to see. If there a licensed MP they would have to post that license also for the public to see. So they are either one or the other. If there neither, they're just looking for trouble.

That's why it's probably not a good idea to post this:

I've heard of a couple of otherwise legitimate massage studios that offer happy endings, and there are probably several others under the radar. However, they are the one exception to this board being a venue for sharing information. If you're going to share that kind of info at all, don't post it on the public board, and be VERY careful about sharing it via PM. You never know who might be LE.

I always thought the Sun required that the license be included in the ad? Maybe not ... :)
That's true for massage parlours and escort services (including individual escorts) because they're classified as adult service businesses. Massage studios that advertise "massage therapy" rather than "massage" would not be in that category.

Yeah, drove by it by chance tonight and it's true - GONZO ALONZO!

Doesn't look so much like crack dealers live in the area anymore.
