Luckydog, since this is the totality of your response to my last posting in this thread, I can only assume that you have given up the argument and that you are simply accepting all of my points as being true. I can understand why that would be the case, it is extremely difficult to argue against the truth.
And finally, there was a time in the US when having the label of "liberal" attached to you was not a point of scorn. Liberalism is an honourable, important, and valuable perspective, and those who adhere to the liberal agenda, ideology, and perspective have made as many, if not more, contributions to the life of the American people as conservatism.
It was the liberal court of Earl Warren that struck down the racism of Jim Crow segregationists policies in the south and made integration possible. It was the liberal policies of FDR that brought the US out of the nightmere of the Great Depression, which started during the administration of the fiscal conservative Calvin Coolege. Interestingly, the other near collapse of the stock market took place during 1981 during the administration of the crown prince of conservatism, Ronald Reagan. It is liberal thinking that provides us with freedom of speech, freedom of the press, and our basic civil rights.
So, the next time your write the word liberal, luckydog, its Liberal, with a capital L. And speaking for all of the liberal-thinkers that made America the great nation it is...
...your welcome!
