Personally, I suggest that you NOT do the adopt a child thing. It seems like a sweet idea in the beginning, but many people have multiple children that they are sponsoring - and in todays fast paced world where time is our most precious commodity, taking the time to write to 36 kids every couple of months isn't always practical. Don't ask
They just keep on adding up.

i received a gift that was $25 worth at Kiva.
