Set in Dublin, Once is the story of a passionate street musician and a Czech immigrant. The street musician (Glen Hansard) works in his dad's vacuum repair shop and spends the rest of his time singing and playing guitar. The immigrant (Marketa Irglova) is also a musician who earns money selling flowers. She and he bond over music and become friends. He happens to be nursing a broken heart; this dramatically impacts his music. She has domestic issues of her own. Will they become lovers? ...see Once and find out.
Once is truly a masterpiece and on my top ten movies list of ALL-TIME!!! The soundtrack is phenomenal!!! DO NOT MISS IT!!! I have aleady seen this movie more than ONCE which for me is highly atypical.
