Just wondering what everyone's favourite type of music is?

For me, most music types.. I think folk/punk/classical/some mainstream pop, and some rap work.
Country and R and B/Jazz... ehhh... not into it.

Oh I like classic rock also, and wish my kitten wouldn't lay on my mousecord.

My music tastes cover a very wide spectrum...from big band to heavy metal.......Glen Miller Orchestra/Metallica/Van Halen/Flock of Seagulls/GoGo's/Men at Work/Peter Gabriel/Bangles/Huey Lewis/Boston and countless others....my only dislikes are country and rap music.

My Fave band is pretty damn hard to categorize and place in any genre of music...Pink Floyd....they are wicked...their concerts sell out around the world in a heartbeat....but Pink Floyd is the only band you cant really put a lable on with regards to style/genre as there is no other band like them.

...the band was first referred to as The Pink Floyd Sound, created by Barrett on the spur of the moment when he discovered that another band, also named the Tea Set, were to perform at one of their gigs. The name is derived from the given names of two blues musicians whose records Barrett had in his collection, Pink Anderson and Floyd Council.

Prog Rock. Even in the 60's Pink floyd reeked of prog rock. You could say they are the epitome of prog rock. They go a bit more straight ahead rock at times, but for the most part? Prog.

I'm mostly a rock guy, but my favorite band is Ween. They're mostly rock/punk, but with a heavy prog influence, and they put of a country album so solid it kills the last 20 years of modern country music.
