Well three days into the games and Canada has one lonely bronze to show, putting us in a seven way tie for .....last place. 
Quite correct deke, I stand corrected. I should have qualified it as last of those that have medals.

Thanks for the link Massgegirl. Who cares what language it's in, I'm just looking at the pictures....but at the same time I must have some undiscovered skill with foreign languages. Did anybody else decipher the phrase "klik hier" apparantly it means "click here". Go figure

I was pretty surprised by the classy way they were taken, very artisticly(sp?) done! There were some really nice ones, with great boobs, and I'm not even into women!
A question for you, are these in fact current athletes and if so can't they get in some kind of trouble for posing nude? Miss America would be disqualified if she did, so is it different for athletes representing the States? Maybe an American could answer this question better? At first I thought they were all European women and they have a different attitude towards nudity, but some of them are American...

I stayed up late to watch the rowing finals last night (this morning). It was dissappointing to see the two boats in the final fade over the last 1,000. Oh well, in a few days, it will be long forgotten and we can look forward to the next games.
gymnasitic gloves
It was probably around 20 years ago when the men started doing release moves on the horizontal bar and the women started treating the uneven parallel bars like a horizontal bar. At the time I thought both the men and the women started wearing special hand gear that basically hooked onto the bar. But I was just looking closely at gymnastics tonight. The men still wear some heavy duty hand protection, but I didn't get a good look at it. I swear the women had nothing on their hands besides powder! And they are doing the same tricks the guys were doing a few years ago. I know I saw the women doing giants and releases. I guess the guys are wimps and the women are far tougher than I can imagine.
I did a couple simple web searches, but I couldn't find out what they were wearing or what the rules were for hand gear or gloves. Does anyone out there know what the gymnasts wear on their hands? I know I saw the women with bear hands, but it seems almost impossible to do what they were doing on the uneven parallel bars without something on there hands. I'm starting to doubt what I think I saw.
