Recently picked up an open box in mint shape 65 inch S90C OLED by Samsung, 899 USD. Now I simply do not like at my mini led which is also by Samsung. Its a big 85 QN90C which I paid way almost 3k with tax for. Its so flat compared to the almost 3d images of the OLED. I have buyer's remorse not going for the OLEd as my main TV.
My dislike for the mini led did not happen until I took the Oled home and my eyes saw the big difference.

I wish I could sell the QN90C now but TVs have no resale value. I would lose more than half.

Yeah, LED TVs were never that great, and from my understanding, have some of the worst black range response.

I'm still happily clinging to my old plasma 3D TV, lol.

OLED panels for Sony, LG and Samsung are made in the same facility, I think.
I love my LG and am considering their 32 inch monitor despite the ridiculous cost. I have a Benq and the picture is good but it has lousy sound.

If you go for an Oled, 77s are the best value. 83 Oleds costs about 40 percent more for 5 inch gain in Screen size. I think the LG C4 is the best right now for the price. I like Samsung if you like high dynamic picture but sometimes not real life looking. LGs and Sony have more real world picture.
I mean sometimes insane bargains come around, Best Buy had the S90C 65 for 999 new but it sold out now,.

Yeah, mines a Samsung, and they general make great sets. I've had it for so long now and haven't even had to think of getting a new set in forever!

Well my thread did not age well.
I think the mini Led is the overall better choice after watching almost reference darker material Netflix's American Primeval.

I have been testing each against each other at home.

Too much shadow detail is lost on the Oled and the TV is just too dim for me with darker viewing material that does not need to show full perfect blacks. I should have bought a bigger Mini Led vs a smaller Oled just because it was Oled.

I do believe too end Mini Led has caught up with Oled and probably passes it up for the vast majority of TV viewing.

I love my LG UltraWide 32" monitors, one above the other.

I switched from an OLED to mini led due to really bad burn inwith the OLED

It depends if on what you watch and if you do any gaming on the TV as well, but I don't think the OLED tvs will last as long as the mini leds.

The samsung 8K and the top of the line sony mini leds have a great picture as well and there isn't as much worry of it not lasting as long as an OLED

I’m at 90” and counting. God, size really does matter! (Especially with sports).

When there is a 100 incher with as good a pic as my 70 incher, Sold!

Anyone concerned with data collection on smart TV's? I know it can be disabled, but is a long, complicated process most people won't bother with, or even know about.

Yeah unfortunately not an easy way around it if your TV is connected to the internet.

Yeah unfortunately it's not an easy task to fully block. You can do the minimum by selecting no in the privacy menu wherever that option is provided but otherwise if you want a complete block then it has to be done on a router level and that is a very cumbersome process especially if you are not tech savy.

3 years back when my TV broke, I went for UST projector, which was dual laser 3D with 4k quality and since then never went back to any TV. Its capable of upto 150 inches screen without any quality loss, depending upon the size of the wall at your home.
I am happy with my investment as there is no setup required, nothing bulky, can carry even in a bag, just keep it next to the wall.
There are few drawbacks though which can be mitigated first being watching in the day time, and second with my audio setup etc lost the charm of watching movies in theatres as its same or better quality with the comfort of home ;).
