I travel down Quebec quite a bit these days for work and I remember in the late 80's that being one of the busy spots in Vancouver. Funny how those girls just up and moved .
Nothing funny, no money. Keep in mind that most of girls worked the streets at that time and there were some issues. People admitted the girls were not going to go away, but nobody wanted them in their backyard. The Quebec stroll was an early experiment at setting up a "Red Light District". It was away from the residential areas and still provided a reasonably well lit area to work in. It failed, no cruisers. The traffic just wasn't there, plus the girls were more vulnerable to the freaks so they just up and moved back to their old turf.

I didn't even know about online forums til a couple days ago when my buddy told me about it. I been needing to get some no stress company for awhile now but I dont know if I wanna risk the bigger possibility for stds or getting ripped off maybe, is there a place on here to find answers for that kinda stuff?

Westender, the Stroll on Seymour, the other stroll north of Hastings and you trusted your spidey senses. The WestEnder was quite the lifesaver in the day.

Oh.. and the WSG plus the newsgroups. alt.sex.prostitution Eventually (if you posted and shared) you got to meet other pooners. Some of them were golden & rock solid and others would sell you out in an instant (seemed to have vested interests).

In those golden old days, street gals were plentiful, and all around the country side. And the bars were full of gals. In the Vancouver area, a few bars and clubs were working locations. The Penthouse was likely the best in the 60's and 70's, and a few other bars around the Hotel Vancouver. The Devonshire, what memories!! But the Penthouse was best. Now in Montreal there was Chez Paree, in Toronto the better hotels hosted bars where nicely dressed ladies plied their trade. It just took a wink and smile to start the set up process and the gals were right there in the hotel for you. No issues. Never looked in a paper then as there was an ample choice on the streets or bars. So along comes a new law and under cover cops and on and on goes the saga till today we still see police wasting time and money trying to deal with a trade that just keeps on going and always has and always will in some way. My grandpa told me all how it was, interesting chat one night.

Older spooners!

For me I had a white 6.6 liter trans am parked downtown on Hornby street near the ok'd "cave", after a nite on the town there was a business card under my wiper, the next day I called and found out they would provide me with a girl, I thought how cool is that...
In those days I had cash always.. She showed up.., we had a simple fuck very quick I may add! ( I am much better now!) she said I don't need to pay for sex! She said I was a great guy and should have tons of girls!! I never called her again! But that was my story!! The year was around 1980!!
