This is really cool, I have seen this with people with "severe mental retardation", not my term, in institutions. A room full of people seemingly out of it and not aware of anything in their surroundings, and then someone starts to play a guitar and maybe some percussion and all of a sudden you see life in these folks eyes. The energy in the room totally changes, it is really something to see and feel. Thanks for posting.

I have witnessed it going in the exact opposite direction with a dementia patient in a "quiet elder care" ward. They reacted very forcefully about "shut that off" now!
