Does anyone get annoyed with the endless list of 'thou shalts' provided by some service providers for their/our benefit? I can understand issuing a few ... well, suggestions for conduct ... but some of them are the verbal equivalent of a cattle prod. Honestly, sometimes I want to tell them they're not working at Zellers.

Actually the folks at Zellers are often nicer. Can you imagine a sales clerk telling a shopper not to bother them until they've decided exactly what they want to buy? And when they have, to offer the payment discreetly and quietly, up front and without being asked, and without bargaining or questioning the price or the merchandise? And not to bring up the fact that the same merchandise can be had across the street for less?

And doesn't Zellers have some kind of guarantee and best price offer?

And what about Club Z points?

Hey are you sure decriminalization will impact the sort of 'experience' a pooner gets? Presumably there will still be providers operating under the radar ... without business licenses or periodic STD checks if that happens to be a prerequiste for said license ... or whatever. There was a show on A&E a couple of weeks ago that showed the cops there conducting sting operations in hotel rooms to arrest outcall escorts. I think they said there's about 40 legal brothels elsewhere in Nevada, but they're all incredibly expensive, out in the middle of nowhere, and very over-regulated. The women weren't allowed to leave the building for the week or two that they were on duty, except under certain conditions.

-I would assume the "mutual" refers to what we would call DATY.

-I've never been to Australia, and you didn't say what state you were in, or when. New South Wales (Sydney) decriminalized brothels in 1995, although I would presume they were there before then. I don't think they have licensing in Sydney, but there certainly are some kind of laws or rules that allow the authorities to close a brothel if they receive complaints about them disrupting the neighbourhood, or one is within sight of a church or school. I don't believe they have any specific laws or licensing that would stop individual SPs from operating the way they do here, except of course that incalls would not be violating the criminal code as they do in Canada.

There have been legal brothels in the state of Victoria (Melbourne) since 1984, Australian Capital Territory (Canberra) since 1992, and Queensland starting in 2001. Brothels are still supposedly criminal in Western Australia (Perth), yet these ones don't seem to have any trouble openly advertising -- Club 316, January's, Casey's.

If I remember correctly, Nevada law allows brothels in counties with under 100,000 residents.
