The skepticism and the criticisms surrounding Obama makes me think of this quote by Theodore Roosevelt.
"It is not the critic who counts, not the man who points out how the strong man stumbled, or where the doer of deeds could have done better. The credit belongs to the man who is actually in the arena, whose face is marred by dust and sweat and blood, who strives valiantly, who errs and comes short again and again, who knows the great enthusiasms, the great devotions, and spends himself in a worthy cause, who at best knows achievement and who at the worst if he fails at least fails while daring greatly so that his place shall never be with those cold and timid souls who know neither victory nor defeat."

In life, I've learned that words may mislead you but actions, especially those done outside the limelight, speaks volumes about one's character. We can not judge a man by his words; it's true...even one as eloquent and poignant as Obama's. But no progress as ever been made by a critic and I prefer to pass judgment on his presidency only after his term is finished. I remain hopeful that he can make the world a more beautiful place.
