Over the years, I've regularly sought out full service NURU providers. I've always enjoyed NURU porn whether it be featuring JAV or North American stars. Each NURU providers typically will have their own unique approach and room setup, which has always been exciting. Over time, I've had unbelievable experiences that I'll never forget, but also disappointing ones. I get asked regularly about NURU and for suggestions, so I started my NURU review threads to provide a reliable reference for local providers. But based on the messages I’ve received over the years about NURU, there are often new members that are just looking for general info about NURU versus specific providers. I'm hoping this discussion can help provide some basic info and context around NURU before some decide to spend extra for a NURU experience.

Details About Nuru
Origin: Nuru is a Japanese form of sensual and erotic, full-body massage ("nuru" means "slippery").
The Gel: Traditionally made from seaweed (Sphaerotrichia divaricata), it is a specialized, water-soluble gel. Modern versions are often synthetic, such as sodium polyacrylate.Technique: The practitioner applies a large amount of gel to their body and uses their entire body to massage the recipient, minimizing hand use.

How to choose a good NURU provider
This is the million dollar question that most want answered before embarking on their first experience. Unfortunately, there isn’t a simple answer in the Lower Mainland because we have quite a diverse spectrum of SPs. That being said, here are some things to consider that will help you narrow things down:

• It helps to choose an SP that you’ve already had a regular session with previously. I know this isn’t always possible for those that are visiting from out of town, but having some chemistry and knowing that you like her body type will only add to your enjoyment of the session
• This one might be obvious, but I’ll state it anyways….read up on reviews. If someone is a reliable and well-liked NURU provider, chancse are that they’ll have at least a few reviews for you to check out. Given that you’ll be paying an extra $80-$100 upgrade for the NURU, it’s probably not advisable to go into things fully blind.
• Take their culture/background into account. Not because of race exactly, but where and how they learned does make a difference. Some are self taught, some learned in Asia, and others learned from roommates that might’ve offered it as a cash grab with no idea how a proper NURU body massage should be like.

How does the Vancouver NURU scene compare?
Aside from Vancouver, I’ve tried NURU services in New York, Montreal, Bangkok, and Tokyo. Here’s how I would rank my experiences (while leaving NY out cause it was over 10yrs ago):

#4 – BANGKOK

• Surprised? Me too. Bangkok and most major cities in Thailand are a hotbed of sexual services. You can get a NURU massage at establishments that offer “Soapys”. Most establishments will have a full roster of women that you can choose from and then a menu of services to choose from. The operation itself is quite organized.
• My experience didn’t rank particularly high cause the girl I chose was the least unattractive. She was cute at best, with a very mediocre body. The shower didn’t have warm water and then the room setup just felt ghetto. The room was so cold, that I opted to cut the NURU short.
• Disclaimer : I tried to research on local forums. The place I went to was well-reviewed, but I had only started reading up on the day of. I’m sure there are better places in Bangkok, I just need to be better prepared.
• 

#3 – MONTREAL

• Again I was a little surprised given Montreal’s famous reputation for great strip clubs and live sex shows. The place I visited was in a business complex. I had done research the day of again, so with better preparation I’m sure I would’ve found some better options.
• The room was very spacious, but not very comfortable. There was a big table that you lied on, felt like I was getting surgery.
• SP was super friendly, but wasn’t exactly my cup of tea. She was a bit thicker, but with huge tits. I can see her being a very good PSE SP. When I visited, there were only 2 girls available, but I was able to choose. The fact that she blonde with like E-cup tits had me sold. But given her size, the NURU slide had a bit too much pressure which ruins the mood for me. My preference is for a girl that is about 120lbs with at least full C-cups. They have the right amount of curves, and are more agile.

#2 – VANCOUVER

• I’ve come to realize that we’re quite lucky in the Lower Mainland. The credit mainly goes out to the amazing Korean NURU providers that decide to stay in town for extended visits. Over the years, they’re really proven that there is no competition. Once exception would be Angel Minami, who offers a bath + Nuru service that is easily one of the most sensual and erotic experiences offered by local SPs.
• Once drawback to the local scene is that incalls aren’t really setup to accommodate NURU. Rooms and bathrooms are generally too small. Whereas all the other cities on this list have options in a dedicated space for NURU, we lack such facilities. SPs are left to their own devices to come up with an optimal setup that makes it logistically manageable for them, yet comfortable for clients. I’ll share more about what ‘ideal facilities’ are in the next section.
• One thing to note that can be viewed as both a pro and a con is that the Vancouver NURU scene is quite varied. There is no set standard, therefore no assurance of a good or great experience.

#1 - TOKYO

• If you’re a fan of JAV content and enjoy the NURU often shown in those videos, you’re likely envisioning an experience that can only be truly found in Japan. Since my first ‘Soapland’ visit, I’ve been hooked. On each of my last 5 visits to Japan, I’ve made arrangements to visit different shops. The research involved can be overwhelming. The pre-booking process is sometimes discouraging and difficult for the top tier girls. But man oh man is it all worth it.
• After a multitude of life-changing NURU sessions, I can confidently say that the level of service is unmatched. The shops are all concentrated in set areas, making it easy for you to explore door to door if you’re feeling adventurous. I personally recommend doing research and pre-booking set dates if possible. Most premium girls have a minimum booking of 2hrs, and the cost will typically range from $350/hr to $400/hr. During that session you’ll get at least 2 shots, a very through NURU bodyslide on the inflatable mattress, and usually a separate foam bath that I have not experienced in any other country/city.
• The premium NURU girls are on a whole different level when compared to Vancouver SPs. I’ve managed to share time with girls ranging from a 95lb spinner with nice C-cups, to G-cup pornstars that were super sweet and also fucked my brains out. Enhancing the enjoyment of the experience is the amazing setup they have, where each room has a soaker tube, a huge open shower area where they lay down the mattress, and then also a small bed. Most establishments offer you drinks (ie. Iced coffee, tea, water) before and after the session, and then usually at the 60min mark, the provider will order up more for the two of you. I could go on and on about the Japan Soapland experience, but I’ll likely start a separate post going into more details.
