They're really good about discretion. They won't text you unless you text them.
Unless of course someone you don't want to know you're contacting them has access to your phone history and can look up your incoming/outgoing texts. In that case you'd have to figure out a different way such as a burner phone like MixedDude said.

If I were to accept apps, I’d know I’d be spending my days running to my incalls for no reason then later panhandling on twitter to pay my bills. Not a pretty situation...

I've been unable to contact 6456 as well, and I'm just using my regular number, sent a few inquiries but no responses, never tried 6456 yet but would like to if they ever answer
