I am here.
Does any of you have a suggestions for a location that would make a good backdrop for some nude figure photography?

I would like to find something relatively secluded and private (for obvious reasons), with a water, beach, grass, or wooded area, not too far from downtown Van. Something like Wreck Beach, would be perfect, as would an old fortification (lots of them around Halifax, but it is a long drive). Even a concrete wall, an orchard, or an old building, etc. I am open to any suggestions you may have.

I am going to take a look out around Pitt Meadows and Pitt Lake to see what I can find. I know of a couple interesting spots on Barnston Island.

I look forward to seeing your suggestions.

Thx,
ANM

The old Iron Works down on Victoria Dr. on the LoTrack. Used for a lot of movie shoots. Head up Cypress or Seymour when the snow retreats a bit, nobody up there. Not close to DT Van, but consider heading up to Squamish and out towards the old logging roads, left at the reserve if you haven't been out that way. Great river access, old logging equipment, old barns, log houses, trees covered in hanging moss, etc.

Wreck beach works perfectly, just make sure that if there are others there, you don't have any wayward camera pointing

I've seen more than one camera end up in the drink at Wreck.
Cell phones too.
Me too, but I've never had a problem. Done it many times.

So long as you set up properly and in such a way that you're clearly not taking pics of anything other than your model, you'll be ok.

Usually some of the regulars come over and keep an eye on you but if you behave, you're fine.

Wreck

When u come down the stairs at Wreck, take a right instead left and go around the corner farther away from the main beach. The rocks and sand there make a better back drop anyway. I've done photo shoots there and there might be a few people walking by but no one will hassle you.

Near Wreck Beach, there is a trail that leads down to a rocky beach. It starts from the top of the hill where Marie drive comes up from Spanish Banks to UBC. I don't think there is a parking lot, just a trail head. If memory serves me right, you'll find a secluded, rocky beach complete with old concrete gun emplacements.

I think this is pretty much the same place Miss T and Nina mentioned.
